📢 Health supply chains are the backbone of healthcare delivery and ensuring they work efficiently requires skilled professionals. But how do we equip health workers in East Africa with the skills they need, while ensuring training is accessible, relevant, and impactful? Through a Human-Centered Design (HCD) process, we’ve developed flexible, practical micro-learning modules tailored to health workers' realities. These bite-sized, user-friendly trainings enable frontline workers to acquire critical supply chain skills without disrupting their demanding schedules. 🔗 Read the full story here: https://brnw.ch/21wPt7J #SupplyChainTraining #CapacityBuilding #HumanCenteredDesign

We were honored to participate in a critical workshop aimed at standardizing Health Products and Technologies (HPT) quantification processes in Kenya. Convened by the Ministry of Health, Kenya Directorate of Health Products and Technologies (DHPT) and supported by inSupply Health, the workshop focused on reviewing tools and processes, adopting a standardized approach, and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide future quantification activities. During the workshop, our Technical Specialist, Daniel Menge, shared valuable insights, lessons learned, and best practices from our work supporting HPT quantification at both national and sub-national levels. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to ensure a unified approach to HPT quantification, improving process efficiency and enhancing the accuracy of HPT forecasts and supply plans. This is a significant step towards strengthening Kenya’s healthcare supply chain and ensuring the availability of essential health products and technologies. Together, we’re building stronger systems for better health outcomes! 🫰 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 🫰 Last week, I had the privilege of participating in one of the most engaging app testing workshops I’ve attended, held in Nakuru County, Kenya. At inSupply Health, the mission is clear: to transform health outcomes by co-creating intelligent, resilient, and people-centred supply chains. In line with this vision, we’re developing a tool designed to assist in the allocation and prioritization of healthcare funds, especially in resource-constrained environments. What makes this tool special? It incorporates: 1. 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁, ensuring solutions are tailored to real-world needs. 2. 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗔𝗕𝗖 & 𝗩𝗘𝗡 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 to help identify key products, baked into an algorithm to enable more efficient and data-driven decision-making. During the workshop, we had the opportunity to engage with healthcare leaders, pharmacists from different levels of care, and other key stakeholders. Together, we conducted on-site data collection to assess the feasibility of the proposed business model. The energy in the room was incredible—everyone brought their A-game! I’m deeply grateful to the amazing team and all the participants who made this workshop a success. The insights will be paving the way for a tool that could make a real difference in healthcare decision-making. Onwards to creating smarter, more resilient systems for better health outcomes! 🚀 #HealthcareInnovation #SupplyChainTransformation #WorkshopReflections #HealthEquity #DataDrivenDecisions inSupply Health Mwangi George® Danielson Kennedy Muthoni Maina Dr. Sheila Wangechi Johnson Anyona Mark Osiemo Bismack Wasta MCIPS, MKISM Simon Wangia
