According to the Kenya Demographic and Health Survey 2022, by Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, 15% of teenage women aged 15-19 have experienced pregnancy, A troubling reality for individuals who should be shaping their future within the sanctity of learning institutions. How has it come to this? Even more distressing is that these institutions, which are meant to be havens of safety and knowledge, Are being tainted by the very individuals entrusted with guiding the next generation, lecturers. Alarmingly, some have abused their authority, violating the trust of young girls, defiling them, and sabotaging their futures. As KESA, we condemn these ill-mannered acts. Such actions are not only reprehensible but an outright betrayal of the academic mission and moral fabric of our society. We call upon the relevant authorities to investigate these allegations, and ensure the perpetrator face the full force of the law. Economics Students Association of Kenya, KESA

When I look back to the 3rd National Economic Debate, I can tell that it was not just an event—it was an incredible platform for learning, networking, and celebrating shared passions. As an ambassador of Economics Students Association of Kenya, KESA, I had the privilege of interacting with like-minded economists, exchanging ideas, and exploring innovative solutions to some of our country’s most pressing challenges like Education. A special highlight was interacting with my classmates, who traveled all the way from Kabarak University to University of Nairobi for the debate. They continue to inspire me with their dedication and insights. Sharing this experience with them and capturing the moment with a photo was truly memorable. Events like these remind me of the power of collaboration and the importance of fostering conversations that drive change. Here’s to more opportunities to grow, connect, and make a difference together! 🚀 #KESA #NationalEconomicDebate #EconomicsInAction #Networking #YouthEmpowerment #EducationForChange

Congratulations Assumpta Mbithi. Now you have all the powers to read abd write.
I am elated to have graduated yesterday from Kabarak University with a Bsc. Economics & Mathematics degree. 4 academic years,65 units, 2 internships, numerous additional online courses, several bootcamps, countless prayers. This marks the end of a mentally exhausting yet fulfilling undergraduate journey. Grateful for the lessons learnt, the friendships nurtured and excited for what the future holds. My key take aways: 1. Stay curious, keep learning, and believe in the beauty of your dreams. 2. Success does not come by chance but by effort. 3. You're capable of accomplishing so much more than you think you can, keep working on yourself! #Graduation #technology #Mathematics #datascience #internships
