Generated by Coauthor: 2024 showed me how pure scientific curiosity transforms into real-world impact. Like Maxwell's equations unifying electricity and magnetism, theory and practice merged to create something greater than their parts. ✨ This year: •Joined Kenya Space Agency as an apprentice researcher, working on Tafiti CubeSat 3U Nanosatellite Development. • Participated in the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST)' Sakura Science Exchange Program, and learned about remote sensing and satellite systems at RESTEC, Kyushu Institute of Technology with TETSUHITO FUSE, Ramson Nyamukondiwa and team, JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, and Tokyo Denki University. • Received the 'Best Third Year Male Student 23/24' award at the University of Nairobi • Appointed Vice Chairperson of the Society of Electrical Engineering Students (SEES UON) • Became a member of IEEE MTT-S Kenya Chapter, IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS), and IEEE Microwave Theory & Technology Society. • Earned 8+ IEEE certifications in Innovation and Professional Development. • Networked. Three posts that resonated deeply with our community: "Advanced Manufacturing in Aerospace" Exploring how innovative techniques transform space technology https://lnkd.in/dWmZQsVJ "Engineering Students Association: Tech Week Kenya 3.0 Reflections" On embracing potential in technology and education https://lnkd.in/dtkDj2kg "Outstanding Technical Chapter Recognition - IEEE MTT-S Kenya Chapter" On how excellence in microwaves will always be amplified https://lnkd.in/dBJvb8A5 Like a well-tuned antenna array, each experience this year strengthened our signal-to-noise ratio. The IEEE: IEEE Kenya Section community, the Kenya Space Agency team, and the University of Nairobi faculty provided the perfect ground plane for radiation. Looking ahead to 2025: Focusing on advancing nanosatellite development while strengthening the bridge between theoretical research and practical applications in space technology. The journey from pure scientific curiosity to real-world impact continues—one orbital parameter at a time. ✨ #IEEE #KenyaSpace #LinkedInRewind #2024wrapped #SEES Get your 2024 LinkedIn Rewind!
