Last Saturday, I hosted the inaugural Peter & Friends Golf Day Tournament at the Muthaiga Golf Club. It was an incredible experience, with over 200 golfers from various clubs and organizations who gathered for a day of friendly competition and camaraderie. Before we teed off, we celebrated the festive season by surprising the caddies at Muthaiga Golf Club with sheep as we continue to spread the Christmas cheer through our #SambazaFurahaNaSafaricom campaign. This tournament held a special place for Safaricom PLC serving as a heartfelt way to show our gratitude to our valued partners. Their unwavering support has been the cornerstone of our success, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without them. I’m truly honored to have been part of such a memorable event. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and participated—your presence made it all the more special! #SafaricomGolf #TeeOffWithPeter #SafaricomAt24

Last Saturday, the Romo House - Africa Executive Connect Club event marked a significant milestone - one year journey of Humanizing Leadership. It was an inspiring gathering with an exceptional lineup of industry leaders. I had never shared my personal journey in a public setting. Thanks to Romo House - Africa, I did for the first time in April and it was truly liberating. Over time, as I listened to leaders, I realized how similar their journeys often are. What truly sets great leaders apart is their humility, authenticity and perseverance. I also realised that, as leaders, we often wear a veil, hiding behind our professional name cards. Romo House has done an incredible job of removing that veil in the pursuit of humanizing leadership. To truly understand a leader’s “fruit system,” you must first understand their “root system” - the formative years and the challenges that shape them. They have truly become what they have overcome. Thank you Frank Molla and Nimo Kanina for moderating these insightful sessions. As we celebrate this milestone, I am grateful to all the leaders who have shared their inspiring stories along the way. The insights gained from those stories are worth more than dozens of leadership books! Here is to many more years of humanizing leadership! Yesterday, the M-PESA foundation was pleased to transform the lives of over 4,000 people across Kwale and Isiolo Counties, courtesy of our free medical camps in partnership with Zuri Health , Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital and the respective County Governments. In Kwale County, our medical camp at Jomo Kenyatta Primary School grounds in Msambweni saw over 2000 residents receive health services, while in Isiolo County, over 2000 residents of Tororuba got an opportunity to access free medical care at Isiolo Police Mess grounds. The medical camps are part of our efforts to take healthcare closer to Kenyans by providing an array of essential health services such as general consultations, eye screening and treatment, distribution of medication, and referrals for advanced care. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the residents of Kwale and Isiolo for showing up in large numbers and embracing this opportunity. #TransformingLives #SambazaFurahaNaSafaricom
