🌍 As we prepare for COP29 in Baku, we’re inspired by Rwanda’s landmark decision to make electric motorbikes mandatory for public transport registrations in Kigali starting January 2025. This is exactly the kind of real-world action we need to see as a result of global climate summits, where pledges turn into impactful policies. Spiro is proud to support Kigali’s bold move, with our team gearing up to provide the electric bikes and battery-swapping infrastructure needed for a seamless transition. With 1,300 Spiro bikes already on Kigali’s roads—and a special limited-time pricing on our EKON bike—our goal is to make sustainable transport affordable and accessible to boda boda riders across the city. Next week, Spiro CEO Kaushik Burman, Equitane Group CEO Anish Jain, Chief Communications Officer Lee Breheny, and ESG Lead Imtinen Hamlaoui will attend COP29 in Baku to join conversations on climate solutions. Last year in Dubai, world leaders and companies made vital commitments, and Rwanda’s EV policy is proof of how impactful change is possible when governments and companies like Spiro collaborate on sustainable solutions. We look forward to sharing Kigali’s progress at COP and to inspiring more real, actionable steps toward a sustainable future. 🌱 #COP29 #SustainableMobility #pledgenetzero #ClimateAction #ElectricVehicles #Rwanda #Kigali #Spiro #Equitane #GreenTransport #GlobalGoals #baku
