We are pleased to share that Magomed Saaduev, Partner, and Azima Bokoshova, Senior Associate, attended the 3-rd International PPP Conference hosted by the Kyrgyz PPP Center in Bishkek on October 16-17. At the conference, the Eurasian Development Bank presented the PPP Country Review covering a comparative analysis of the PPP legislation of the EDB member countries. During the panel discussion entitled “PPP Legal Framework in Eurasia: In Search of Optimal Regulation and Harmonization Models ” dedicated to the Country Review, Magomed Saaduev, along with PPP experts from other countries, shared his expert opinion on the important aspects of PPP regulation in the Kyrgyz Republic. We are glad to announce that our company actively supported the EDB's initiative on preparing the PPP Country Review, in particular, Magomed and Azima made a valuable contribution to the chapter on Kyrgyzstan.

We are happy to share that K&A Litigation and Arbitration team, partner Nurbek Sabirov and associate Adinai Dzhekshenova, jointly with teams of the Center of Judicial Representation and the Ministry of Emergency Situations (the “MoES”), successfully represented the interests of the MoES in international commercial arbitration on the claim of a foreign company under the Rules of ICC as Appointing Authority (regarding the number of arbitrators) and under UNCITRAL arbitration rules (on the merits of the case leading to withdrawal of claim by the claimant).   This is the first precent when an international arbitration case against the state authority has been handled exclusively by the team of national lawyers.
