Balkan WBL Cooperation Project – Progress Update! We just wrapped up another productive online meeting for the Balkan WBL Cooperation Project. Here's a quick recap of what we covered: Making Headway: We reviewed our progress and confirmed that project activities are aligning well with our plan. Stronger Together: We shared updates on how we're engaging stakeholders in our national research – collaboration is key! The collective effort in this project doesn't just aim to foster WBL in the Balkans but also to create a model for cross-national cooperation and policy development that could resonate across regions. Mark Your Calendars: The highlight of our gathering was the planning for an upcoming session with our expert working group. Scheduled for the 17th of April, this meeting will be dedicated to shaping policy recommendations within the Governance thematic area - a significant stride in our project's impact. Special EU Programmes Body is holding a pre-application support workshop under Theme 6: Building and Embedding Partnership and Collaboration The objective of this is to “reduce the legal and administrative barriers to cross-border cooperation through joint development and management of strategies; co-operation capacity building; and identification of solutions.’’ This workshop will provide preliminary guidance to help potential applicants build their project, programme knowledge, and capacity so that they are best placed to make quality application addressing air quality, with a strong focus on outcomes that meet programme targets and the overarching aim of peace and prosperity. 🤝🌍 Signed MoU with the Greek National Center for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA): A new chapter in strengthening cooperation and deepening ties between #WesternBalkans and #Greece public administration teams, supporting enhanced administrative capabilities!   💡 The cooperation will be operationalized with a working visit in autumn of public servants from the region to Athens on “Digital infrastructure and services,” while Greek lecturers will provide their expertise in specific ReSPA training.   💬 Maja Handjiska Trendafilova: This MoU is an important step forward in our partnership with EKDDA. Leveraging on our vast expertise and practice, we will work on co-creating various learning and capacity-building programs to foster the professional growth of civil servants and support policy reforms in public sector modernisation and digitalisation.   🙏 Vassilis Exarchos, Thanasis Raptis and the EKDDA team for the excellent exchange.
