At #Unison Group, we believe in building not just structures, but sustainable futures. Together with IOM - UN Migration Agency in Kyrgyzstan, we’re not just building homes—we’re building a future. Through the groundbreaking project, «Promoting the inclusion of internal migrants in green renovation in Kyrgyzstan» implemented by #Unison with financial support from the #Development Fund of the International Organisation for Migration IOM - UN Migration, we are paving the way for a greener, more inclusive #Kyrgyzstan. This project isn’t just about green construction—it’s about hope, empowerment and progress. It’s about equipping internal #migrants, women and vulnerable groups with tools to actively participate in creating sustainable, energy-efficient homes and communities. Our Key Milestones So Far: 🔹 Formed a working group with key government stakeholders to ensure alignment and guidance for project implementation 🔹 Policy dialogue for inclusion of internal migrants in the Green Economy Programme of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024-2027 🔹 Integrated green reconstruction components in 12 female-headed internal migrant households 🔹 Developed climate-resilient, earthquake-resistant building designs—accessible and practical for all communities 🔹 Reached thousands through information campaign, educating communities on the benefits and accessibility of green building projects Our plans: 🔹 Training 40 women beneficiaries in green reconstruction practices and supported 12 female-headed migrant households in implementing green renovation projects. 🔹 Conducted capacity-building workshops for 140 technical staff from the State Agency for Construction, empowering them to adopt and promote sustainable construction practices. 🔹 Further reaching information campaign, educating communities on the benefits and accessibility of green building projects. This initiative is more than numbers—it's about people, partnerships and progress. It’s about giving #women and #communities the tools to transform their lives while contributing to #climate resilience and #sustainable development. With the support of our partners, ministries and local communities, we envision a Kyrgyzstan where sustainable construction is not the exception but the norm. #UNISON Group thanks IOM - UN Migration Agency in Kyrgyzstan , #Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, #Union of Architects and other partners for continuous collaboration.
