Can't believe it's already been 2 weeks since our year-end gala! Although it was our first time hosting a gala, we tried our best to make the event a memorable and enjoyable one for our guests with entertainment, fun games, and exciting prizes. We hope everyone had a great time! Can we just say the team was super impressed by everyone's crazy talent at the dalgona game?! Half a minute is super impressive! Thank you everyone for ending the year early in celebration with us! Special thanks to Singapore's Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Mr Eric Teo and his wife for making time to attend this event amidst their busy schedules. And of course not forgetting all our sponsors, without whom the event would not have been made possible, especially to our Diamond sponsors Capitaland, UOB, Youngjin Tax Corporation, Wellness Center, and Wishcompany! Our Chairman, Mr Justin Yong, met with Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat, who is on a Working Visit to Seoul and Gyeonggi this month, along with other Singaporeans based in the country. Conversations revolved around the local business scene, education sector in both countries, AI, and how the culture impacts the Korean market. DPM Heng also shared insights on advances he has seen in the AI scene and how some companies are adopting new tech for productivity and education. DPM Heng's visit builds on the positive momentum of high-level exchanges between Singapore and South Korea leading up to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries next year. SingCham Korea is looking forward to the increased bilateral cooperation and future collaborations between Singapore and South Korea and will continue to play our part in strengthening bridges between the business community of both countries. #Singapore #SouthKorea #Diplomacy #Chambers
Our overseas #Singaporeans may have chosen to build their careers and explore new opportunities abroad, but I am glad that they still maintain strong links and emotional connections with Singapore. I met some of them in #Seoul to share about recent developments in Singapore, and to learn more about their experiences here. They come from an interesting variety of backgrounds and industries, including academia, tech, finance, tourism, and even a singer-songwriter! Heartened that they are excelling as leaders in their own fields, and still have the heart to contribute back to Singapore in their own ways. I wish them every success and thank them for flying the flag high wherever they are! ([2-4] MDDI Photos by Chwee)

The Singapore Chamber of Commerce in Korea (SingCham Korea) is thrilled to have co-hosted an impactful networking event in Korea last Friday. In collaboration with HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency), FRONT1, and D.Camp, this event served as a powerful platform for SingCham Korea to support Singapore’s commitment to public safety and innovation. Through this event, we were honored to introduce HTX's visionary approach to partnering with private sector players, particularly start-ups and tech companies, to elevate public safety and security in Singapore. Here are a few highlights: 1️⃣ Showcasing Innovation: We had the opportunity to present HTX’s innovation hub, Hatch, a space where tech start-ups collaborate with Singapore’s key public safety agencies – from law enforcement to border control. 2️⃣ Connecting Changemakers: The event fostered invaluable networking opportunities, bringing together brilliant minds from HTX, start-ups, tech firms, VCs, and other innovators all passionate about building safer communities. 3️⃣ Expanding Opportunities: We explored new business possibilities within Singapore and Southeast Asia, strengthening connections between Korea’s tech ecosystem and Singapore’s dynamic start-up landscape. A big thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event, especially to Mok Shao Hong for the exceptional guidance. We look forward to deepening these ties and sparking even more collaborations between Korea and Singapore in the tech and innovation spheres. Also, thank you to Amylia Zainal, Elaine B., Jasmine Lee, Jamie Tiong, for all the work related to the chamber in Korea. Heidi Ha, for providing translation services to the team. Diana Kim, for supporting the chamber. Nurulhuda Syed Mahmood for coordinating from Singapore together with Leon Yip. And lastly to Esther Tan, and Jonathan Chua, for making the event possible. #SingChamKorea #HTX #Innovation #TechPartnerships #KoreaSingapore #PublicSafety #NetworkingEvent #Startups #BusinessOpportunities
