The urban design concept centers around a vibrant communal focal point serving as the gravitational center that pulls the entire development together through its network of converging streets and pathways. The compound features modular villas that can be configured into various layouts, ranging from intimate two-bedroom units to expansive family homes. “Mastering Technology Applications: Integration of AI Technologies into BIM Design Delivery Processes” — We are excited to announce the winners of our competition, "Think Like an Engineer, Work Like a Programmer." In collaboration with the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at AUB, Autodesk, and the IEEE, ASCE, and ASME student chapters, the competition challenged students to explore the intersection of #architecture, #planning, and #engineering through #cloudcomputing and #AI. Our students worked in multidisciplinary teams, simulating real-world industry environments. Their task was to design a #modular university campus at Beirut's waterfront area, integrating a comprehensive #environmental analysis— all powered by AI design tools. NEOM Wave 1 Communities, NCV5-6 & NCV9-10 | 📍Neom, KSA The project marks a significant milestone in our commitment to bring to life Neom's vision of a dynamic, sustainable, and thriving community through the delivery of design solutions that stand out and raise the bar in terms of livability standards. Careful consideration was given to the eventual dismantling of the units to minimize environmental impacts. Additionally, the tight delivery timeline required special attention to constructability aspects and construction methods. To address these needs, steel cage units were used, as they are quick to transport, assemble, and disassemble, effectively supporting the project's constructability requirements. © Laceco Status: Completed in 2024
