  • 🎶 Empowering the next generation of musicians in Lesotho: The Live Music Lab (LML) project has launched! 🎶 We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Live Music Lab (LML) project, a transformative initiative aimed at nurturing and empowering local musical talent in Lesotho. Last Saturday, the project kicked off with the vibrant Ouh La La Music Festival, which gave aspiring musicians a platform to showcase their talent. The festival was an incredible success, bringing together music lovers and setting the stage for a brighter future for Lesotho’s music industry. From this dynamic event, 17 talented local musicians were carefully selected to participate in the LML project. These musicians, representing diverse genres and styles, are embarking on a 2-day intensive training program with professional trainers from Lesotho, including some of the country’s most renowned music industry experts. The workshops, tailored to meet the specific needs of the participants, are designed to sharpen their technical skills, enhance their stage presence, and encourage creative collaboration. By providing this hands-on training, the LML project not only invests in the participants’ personal growth but also contributes to building a more vibrant and sustainable music industry in Lesotho. This initiative is made possible thanks to the support of key sponsors, including the French Institute in South Africa, France in South Africa, Lesotho and Malawi, Alliance française de Maseru (AFM), and Bassline, with additional support in Lesotho from the U.S. Embassy Lesotho and Letofe Music Festival. Together, these partners are dedicated to fostering cultural exchange and empowering the next generation of Basotho musicians. The Live Music Lab project is a testament to the talent and potential that exists within Lesotho’s music community. It highlights the importance of providing local artists with access to professional training and opportunities to grow, ensuring that their voices are heard both locally and beyond. We are proud to see this journey begin and look forward to the incredible impact these workshops will have—not just on the participants, but on Lesotho’s music scene as a whole. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to support and celebrate the creative talent of Lesotho! 🎤🎸🥁 #LiveMusicLab #EmpoweringMusicians #MusicInLesotho #LocalTalent #CulturalExchange
