A 100-year leap into Klaipeda history for our team and guests, the terminal hosts a travelling exhibition of delmonas, a detail of women's folk costume from Lithuania Minor. It is an elaborately decorated purse, visibly attached to the waist by a ribbon, designed to hold money, keys and other personal items. This costume feature is not common in other ethnographic regions of Lithuania. Sincere thanks to Klaipeda City Municipality Ethno-Cultural Centre for the opportunity to touch the history.

In week 45, Klaipedos Smelte CT successfully migrated to a higher version of TOS, from TOPS Advance to TOPS Expert. Supported by on-site consultants from Realtime Business Solutions Pty. Ltd. and RBS EMEA, the team completed the migration in 4 hours with no negative impact on terminal performance, customers or stakeholders. The new version of TOS will help the terminal in its journey towards continuous improvement by providing modern tools for vessel operations, yard management, equipment control, analytical data sets and much more. The planning process will now be more automated and faster, allowing terminal planners to respond more quickly to dynamic situations and provide more flexibility to MSC and other customers.

In week 43, Klaipedos Smelte Container Terminal reached another significant milestone, with over 10,000 TEUs loaded or discharged from MSC Daniela, a 14.000 TEU capacity container vessel deployed on the Swan-Sentosa service of MSC, connecting the Northern Europe to the Far East region.

We're glad to announce that a contribution agreement has been signed between Klaipedos Smelte CT and Neptunas, the city’s representative basketball club. We are proud to add another stone to the Neptunas pyramid, the local training system where basketball players are raised from kids to top professionals. It is more than just a spectacular game for Klaipeda fans, our employees among them. It’s about building a Dream for the kids dribbling a ball in the street. Hoist the colors, Blue and White!
