The Minister of Finance, Gilles Roth, signed a tax treaty with Sheik Dr. Abdullah bin Salim bin Hamad AL Harthi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. This new tax treaty, which fully complies with the latest international standards in terms of transparency and the fight against tax evasion, will enable Luxembourg to continue developing economic relations by facilitating investment between the two countries. Minister Roth underlined, that this treaty is an important instrument to promote the exchange of goods and services as well as the movement of capital, technology and people between two countries.

Minister Gilles Roth welcomed the latest FinTech and AI initiatives at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) that were presented to him and Stéphanie Obertin, Minister for Research and Higher Education, by Prof.Yves Le Traon, Prof. Gilbert Fridgen and Dr. Maxime Cordy. The Ministry of Finance funds the Finnovation Hub of the SnT. The Finnovation Hub focuses on promoting innovation in finance in areas such as cybersecurity, FinTech, RegTech or sustainable finance..
