Such exciting progress! 🚀 Reposting this update about Open Maps For Europe 2 (#OME2) and the expansion of the Open Cadastral Map to include Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg, and Slovakia. This milestone means that 10 countries are now part of this innovative service for European cadastral data. 🌟 It is such a pleasure to work with the amazing teams from Ελληνικό Κτηματολόγιο – Hellenic Cadastre, Spanish Cadaster, and Idox plc. I am incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made together over the past two years. This latest update and expansion reflect the exceptional effort and dedication of our team and members. A special thank you to Fiona Hemsley-Flint who was an important part of the creation of the Open Cadastral Map, and to the entire Idox team Alan Moore, Alison Moon, Aimee Rossi, Tom Wiseman and Oli Mahon. A huge thank you to Hara Papadaki, Panos Lolonis, Amalia Velasco, Javier Luque, Rocio Rodriguez Molina and Patricia Sokacova for your technical expertise and your member engagement, which have made this expansion possible. Finally, a heartful thank you to our members who have provided their data to the European specification for the Open Cadastral Map: Vents Priedoliņš and Rasa Bērziņa from Valsts zemes dienests | The State Land Service of Latvia, Bernard Reisch and Jeff Konnen from Administration du Cadastre et de la Topographie in Luxembourg, and Kinga Dombiová from the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Authority of the Slovak Republic. Looking ahead, we are thrilled to announce that the integration of more countries is already underway. We strongly encourage cadastral authorities across Europe to join the Open Cadastral Map initiative and benefit from increased visibility nationally, regionally, and globally. Let’s continue this journey together towards making European cadastral data more accessible and impactful!
Open Maps For Europe 2 (OME2) has added Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg and Slovakia to the latest update of the Open Cadastral Map. As a result, 10 countries are now included in the prototype map service for European cadastral data. This compiles and harmonises INSPIRE open data to provide users with an overview of the information available with user-friendly links for direct download from data providers’ national geoportals. OME2 is enhancing the Open Cadastral Map prototype, which is available through the Open Maps For Europe interface, and also developing a strategy that will increase the use of European cadastral data by making it more findable and accessible. The project, co-funded by the European Union, is being delivered by a consortium comprising: EuroGeographics; NGI - National Geographic Institute, IGN - French Mapping Agency (Institut Géographique National), €Ελληνικό Κτηματολόγιο – Hellenic Cadastre, General Directorate for the Cadastre, Spain; and Kadaster. Victoria Persson, Project Manager – Data Access and Integration at EuroGeographics, said: “OME2’s vision is that the Open Cadastral Map becomes a single point to access pan-European high-value cadastral data enabling users to easily find authoritative information. To do this, we are developing common processes, guidelines and best practices, aligned to key European and global policies, for integrating data from National Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authorities.” In addition to Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg and Slovakia, the Open Cadastral Map prototype covers the Czech Republic, Denmark, The Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia and Spain. Machine-readable metadata for the data service is now available on the European Data Portal. ✨ The Luxembourg Media & Digital Design Centre (LMDDC) is pleased to have participated in the Hackathon Open Data X Skills at GovTech Lab Luxembourg on 24 and 25 October. Organised by several public actors - Agence pour le développement de l'emploi (ADEM), the Information and Press Service (Francis Kaell, Alain Vagner, Dominique Nauroy) and the Ministère de la Digitalisation - Luxembourg - the Hackaton brought together six multidisciplinary teams to develop ideas for innovative tools that use and build on the employment data provided by ADEM, ESCO and Eurostat. 🔎 The LMDDC explored a data-driven solution aimed at bridging the skill-gap between job seekers and the vacancies on the market. The solution was to match résumés (CV) with the #ESCO skills (the multilingual classification of European Skills, Competences, and Occupations), identify the narrowest skill-gaps between them and the vacancies from ADEM (already pre-matched with ESCO) and, if necessary, point out the training(s) that will allow potential candidates to up-skill in order to be able to apply. 🤩 We developed the graph database with ESCO, ADEM vacancies and Digital Learning Hub Luxembourg trainings, and worked out the queries that will generate the expected data. We also came up with the UI/UX design that will serve the generated data, and guide the potential users on their journey. 🔥 After two days of reflection and work, we presented our project to the participants and invited guests, including Christine von Reichenbach and Inès Baer. Working on these datasets and thinking about how to extract the best value from them for the Luxembourg labour market has been a very intense and rewarding experience. The feedback on our work has been very positive and we hope that our proof of concept will lead to more concrete implementations! 🏆 The LMDDC team consisted of Pierre de La Celle, Kerstin Bongard-Blanchy, Jessica Meldon, Ludovic Kiefer, and Nathan Lenas and we had the privilege to team up with Sandra Smets from Le Forem, the Belgian equivalent of ADEM. #OpenData #Skills #DigitalTransformation Open Data Lëtzebuerg, CTIE

Le but ? #Hackathon #OpenData #Skills #Emploi #Innovation #DigitalTransformation #SkillGap #Formation Avec Jessica Meldon, Kerstin Bongard-Blanchy, Nathan Lenas, Pierre de La Celle, Ludovic Kiefer

Last year I participated to the #opendata #hackathon as a participant, this year on was on the other side. #ADEM is embracing open data and we made available various datasets to learn from out participants new approaches to #skill analysis and #labourmarket #matching. We saw many interesting ideas, and hope to follow up with some fruitful collaboration!
