We are honoured to have been the official implementer of the EIT Food business support programme Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) 2024 in Latvia! 🌱✨ Through the #EWA programme, we proudly contributed to its mission of reducing gender inequality in the agriculture and food industries. This initiative allowed ten talented women entrepreneurs to strengthen their business ideas through dedicated mentoring and invaluable networking opportunities. Over six transformative months, these entrepreneurs worked tirelessly, culminating in impressive business pitches during the Baltic Sustainability Awards & Forum 2024. We are thrilled to announce that financial incentives from EIT Food for business growth were awarded to Kristīne Štikāne (Gutopia) and Elina Zandere (Legomo). Congratulations on this incredible achievement! 🎉🌟 The pitches were judged by an esteemed jury panel: Asoc.prof. PhD Elina Mikelsone, Agnese Radžele-Šulce, Ilze Laukalēja-Broka, and Liene Kravala. Thank you for your thoughtful evaluations and support! 🙏 We also want to celebrate the inspiring progress of all programme participants, each of whom made this journey remarkable. Keep an eye out for these rising stars in the agrifood sector: Jolanta Smane, Zane Migliniece, Krista Rozenberga, Liega Krasovska, Ilze Kalnina, Liga Pollaka, Jūlija Vilcāne, and Inese Skapste.🌟 A heartfelt thank you also goes to the ten programme mentors who dedicated their time, expertise, and energy to guide these entrepreneurs: Zanda Ozola, Solvita Kostjukova, Evita Lukina, Lauris Grāvelis, Terēze Riekstiņa, Kristīne Veģere, Mārtiņš Kaugars, Evita Strausa, Zanda Sadre, and Ksenija Langa.
