Lesjofors Latvia recently organized an event that aims to become a yearly tradition - as part of a collaboration with "Latvia's State Forests" (LVM) Joint Stock Company, we participated in planting fir trees. On Saturday, April 27th, around 2500 new trees were planted. The action was voluntary, nevertheless about fifty employees took part in that. #Lesjofors #team #plantingtrees Latvijas valsts meži Lesjofors Springs LV The initiative was not just about planting trees, but also about learning and empowerment. An educational storytelling session was conducted, enlightening us about the correct method of planting for optimal results. We were also briefed on the maintenance processes that will ensure the best possible outcome for the trees in the near future. Ģirts Ančevskis, MD of Lesjofors Latvia, said: “Yes, we are taking care of sustainability. But we can say it more simply – let’s make the planet greener!” One of the most experienced employees, packing operator Gunārs Briedis shared, “I have been familiar only about the last part of the lifecycle of trees as a consumer. Thus, I feel both duty and gratitude to take part in the beginning of this lifecycle planting the trees back.”
