British YouTuber Miles Routledge, known for his controversial travels and online persona "Lord Miles," is under heavy social media criticism for making racist remarks about India and Africa, along with a "joke" about launching nuclear bombs against India. Routledge, who first gained notoriety in 2021 when he got stranded in Afghanistan during the Taliban's takeover, shared these offensive comments on August 20, 2024, provoking backlash from the online community.

Routledge, popular for his adventures in perilous destinations, has over 126,000 YouTube subscribers. His notoriety began in 2021 when he decided to visit Afghanistan after discovering it was listed among the “most dangerous countries to visit” on Google. He entered the country during the Taliban's invasion and ended up getting stuck. In an interview with foreignperspectives.net, Routledge said he would still return to Afghanistan for cultural exchange.

"As people were screaming and running around, I was befriending the Taliban and Nato special forces with a smile and my smartphone, posting everything for the world to see," he said, as quoted by foreignperspectives.net.

On his third visit to Afghanistan in late February 2023, he was detained by Taliban intelligence.

“On my fifth time, however, I got detained for eight months by Taliban intelligence, which became my most enjoyable holiday yet. Not only did I have a great time, but I made friends with the height of the Taliban gov and have been invited back,” Routledge had stated.

Recently, Routledge made headlines again for his racist comments against India and Africa. He shared his interaction with an unknown user who allegedly threatened him. The message read, “I will find you, I promise, your apology video will be sweet.”

In response, Routledge accepted the stranger's message request and even shared his detailed address. He also mocked the Indian accent in a post, writing, “Saar okay lord saar good luck saar haha saar.”

In another controversial post, Routledge "joked" about launching nuclear weapons against India. He shared a video featuring US President Joe Biden and commented, “When I become prime minister of England, I'll open the nuclear silos as an explicit warning to any foreign power that interferes with British interests and affairs. I'm not talking huge incidents, I'm itching to launch and atomize entire nations over the smallest infraction.”

These posts were met with severe criticism online. One user commented, “A loser, who supports the radicals who are targeting and grooming white children from his community. What makes you think a traitor like you will ever get elected anywhere lol.”

Another user suggested, “This guy needs urgent medical attention! I know there are no good hospitals in UK for mental care but as an Indian I can get him admitted to finest mental health hospital in Bangalore- NIMHANS!”

A third user pointed out a factual error in his statement, commenting, “You don't have any silos, Britain never developed a land-based missile program, and you decommissioned your air-dropped weapons 30 years ago.”

The controversy around Routledge doesn't end there. He recently made a distasteful comment about the population in India and Africa.

"If I was reincarnated, I would like to return as a virus to contribute to humanity by solving the overpopulation in India and Africa,” he wrote in a post dated August 18, 2024.

These statements have resulted in widespread social media backlash, with many calling for accountability and urging platforms to take action against such offensive behavior.
