Netherlands Business in Morocco is an initiative by the Economic Department and the Agricultural Department of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Morocco. The Embassy is located in the capital of Morocco, Rabat and has a consulate in the heart of the business capital, Casablanca. The Netherlands or sometimes referred to as Holland, have beneficial ties with Morocco since the 17th century which has allowed both countries to develop close economic relationships over the years.
The two Departments have facilitated these procedures along the way and see the high potential of Morocco. Morocco has grown significantly over the years, modernizing its economy, infrastructure and investing in sustainability.
We see the possibilities within this emerging market for Dutch expertise and the Dutch business community. Consequently, we have defined the following four sectors for 2018 where Dutch expertise and Moroccan needs meet:
- Renewable Energy
- Transport and Logistics
- Re-use of Water
- Agriculture
Throughout the years, we have gained sufficient experience assisting organizations in doing business in Morocco while advising and introducing them to our contacts. Our teams regularly participate in various fairs inviting Dutch companies to present their products and services. Furthermore together with our consulate in Casablanca, we organize several network events such as business lunches. Our network has grown with contacts from various branch organizations, government agencies and both Moroccan and Dutch companies. Due to this we are able to advise, find solution and connect you to the right contacts in Morocco and the Netherlands.
