Today at the International University in Rabat, Rabat Business School UIR organised a study abroad fair. Today marks the Demo Day of the second edition of the AgriYoung Innovate program, led by UM6P and the Agency for Agricultural Development (ADA), with support from the World Bank’s Korean Fund. This specialized initiative empowers agri-tech startups to transform innovative ideas into viable businesses. Yassine LAGHZIOUI Director of Entrepreneurship and Venturing at UM6P - University Mohammed VI Polytechnic highlighted the program’s success in attracting over 380 applications, out of which 26 promising startups were selected to advance. "Today, the focus is going to be on how to help these startups and support them through the rest of their growth journey," Laghizoui noted, emphasizing the program’s commitment to long-term growth. With these efforts, the Agriyoung Innovate program aims to bolster Morocco’s leadership in agri-tech, a sector where the country is seen as a regional frontrunner.

The National Agency for the Development of Oasis Zones and Argan Trees (Andzoa) today hosted a presentation of a new study conducted in #partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The #study aims to develop a comprehensive framework for measuring both carbon emissions and carbon sequestration within the date palm and argan tree #ecosystems. According to Latifa Yaakoubi, the general director of ANDZOA, "This study will provide the technical tools necessary to accurately assess the #environmental impact of these vital sectors."
