Our mission is to anticipate the future, design it and build it
About us
There are men who are able to look beyond, to imagine the future and perhaps even to anticipate it. Stefano Pastrovich, Architect, founder of PASTROVICH STUDIO is certainly one of them. He has often been considered a “visionary” since in 2000 hehas been part of the team to design the 118’WallyPower, though later became a worldwide milestone of design. Some of the most famous PASTROVICH’s superyachts built designs include the 104m “Le Grand Bleu” , the 63’Shipman “Lunna A”, the 42m “Life Saga”, the 50m “Mystere Shadow” (Superyacht design award finalist) and the 83m “Falkor” (designed for Schmidt Ocean Institute). PASTROVICH STUDIO has never abandoned his nature as a pathfinder. The R&D department occupy a large amount of space in the activity of the studio developing new concept designs, each identified by the letter “X” taken from aeronautics, his great passion since he was a kid. The reason behind the R&D is to outline a new horizon of living the interiors and the exterior at sea. All of the Concept designs come from fundamental assumptions: create “unique” custom designs, with technological contents, a strong connection between the interior and the exteriors, a beach house decoration and a surprising elegance of the lines. In 2011 “Yacht report” article: “PASTROVICH concept design of the 99m “X-Vintage” is an intelligent proposition to the market and one that I admire and applaud. I truly hope a brave client will consider taking this project a step further because I like the exterior and interior space configurations and because of the cleanliness and cost of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) that have to receive serious attention in a market that requires a responsibility towards environmental impact and financial considerations.” In 2015 the magazine BESPOKE has nominated PASTROVICH the “Ultimate Design of the Year” PASTROVICH STUDIO is a Tailor-Made design company created to design “unique” milestone designs.

Steve Jobs about Process & Content A Reflection by Steve Jobs That Feels Very Relevant to the World of Superyachts Today We are experiencing something very similar to the phenomenon described by Jobs about Apple. I started my career in the late 1990s, and I can confidently confirm that until the end of the first decade of the 2000s, "Content" was the starting point for any superyacht. The "Process" was a continuous race to build something extremely complex and not predetermined, day by day. At the time, we were proud of this approach, even mocking the Chinese because they designed everything down to the last bolt before starting construction—a practice we considered not only impossible but also irritating as it stripped away the joy of on-the-spot adjustments and the experience of building. Then, from 2010 to the COVID era, "Process" began to gain importance to reduce construction costs—a commercial necessity following the 2008 crisis. After COVID, the superyacht market shifted again, driven by financial investments that gave enormous power to shipyards. Naturally, these shipyards, rooted in their cultural norms, prioritized "Process" over "Content." Now, four years after COVID, it’s glaringly obvious that the superyacht industry is saturated with yachts that are all alike, packed with "construction process" but devoid of "Content." We’ve arrived at a new crisis—partly because the market has grown tired more quickly, and partly because cycles are accelerating. Today, shipyards that have mass-produced serial superyachts are left with an abundance of engineering and very little substance. Some are attempting cross-disciplinary collaborations with architects and designers who lack any maritime culture. Others are churning out more new models every year, trying to capture customer enthusiasm. These are, in my opinion, "old fashion" attempts, primarily driven by decisions from individuals who have silenced their consultants—designers, managers, and brokers—preventing them from sharing their perspectives on content. It reminds me of the fall of some ancient civilizations: during moments of crisis, the king chose to remain fat, starving the people—leading inevitably to the death of the people and, consequently, the king himself. What does the future hold? We don’t have a crystal ball, but I can certainly say that Steve Jobs’ speech is highly relevant today. The investments of the future must reopen the doors to "Content". To achieve this, we need to entrust investments to visionaries. People who have never lost their way or bargained with the profit to sacrifice their identity, even at the cost of losing money. I feel part of it. thoughts by Stefano Pastrovich thanks to YouTube , we are able to listen to the messages of people who have dedicated their lives to the progress and development of humanity, allowing us to draw insights and utility for our own journey.

#Xpagoda, the future of the Charter world, the world's first passenger code-certified catamaran built in aluminum, equipped with the new generation Volvo Penta IPS 40. Xpagoda is #innovative because it is #simple. It is made of aluminum not only to be lightweight and thus have a reduced draft for accessing shallow waters, but also to be powered by an efficient propulsion system of smaller size, easy to install, maintain, and free of additional components like exhaust ducts. The propulsion system consists of four new-generation engines: 4* Volvo Penta IPS 40 (515 kW). Each propulsion unit can be powered by either a pair of diesel engines or a combination of one diesel engine and one electric motor. This flexibility allows the operator to choose the preferred system depending on the vessel's operating area. For example, if the vessel were to navigate the Norwegian fjords, the operator could request the installation of a hybrid system to enable full electric mode navigation.
