The Turkish Competition Authority, which is an authority of the Turkish Government, has approved the acquisition of Turkish Petroleum by Alpet, a company fully owned by Zeren Group Holding . With this approval, Zeren Group Holding, operating in 8 different sectors on 4 continents with 23 brands, has made another important breakthrough in the energy sector, which is the main focus of its growth strategy. Zeren Group Holding will continue to support TP which currently owns a network of 800 dealers via new investments to reach operational excellence. Mustafa Yiğit Zeren, Chairman and CEO of Zeren Group Holding, thanked the Competition Board and all Competition Authority employees for the decision taken and said; “This decision is of great importance in terms of supporting the will of domestic and national capital to grow in the energy sector, which has strategic importance. We want everyone to be sure that we will strengthen Turkish Petroleum, and make the company one of the greatest assets of our country. We consider growth in the energy sector as the key factor to increase the variety and quality of services offered to our consumers.” In the domestic market, it operates through Zeren Group Investment and Zeren Motors, focusing on import and export, used car trading, and luxury vehicle rentals within the car rental and limo services.
