Web Summit 2024 - a breath of freedom! 🧡 What was Web Summit 2024? It was a breath of freedom, freedom to work on what you like, to develop in the direction you are interested in, to create solutions that can change the world, freedom to communicate and share experience. In a rapidly changing world, the opportunity to be free is a true value! And this year we were truly given a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of a society of free and talented people! What did we succeed? Presentation 1. We had a great presentation day, telling people from all over the world about our TailBook Ecosystem 😊 2. We were lucky enough to be on stage to speak about our project at the Startup Showcase, the theme of which was “Building a Sustainable Future”, where we not only talked about how our startup is creating positive change, but also learned about other very interesting startups that are bringing positive change close 💪 3. I was lucky enough to be on the big screen where I spoke about our project to the widest range of people as part of “40 Words” 🌟 Communication 1. We introduced our startup to investors and established useful contacts, which I hope will lead us to new heights in the near future! 🤞 2. We met a lot of interesting projects, among which there are projects that aim at animal welfare! I am sure we will definitely find opportunities for cooperation and establish stable partnerships 🤝 3. We met a lot of different cool people from different fields and received a lot of useful and positive feedback, as well as valuable invites for further development! 👌 We sincerely thank everyone who came to our booth, gave us their time at the meetups, and made contact with us via the app! 🫶 Products 1. We prepared a web version of our awesome FreeVet (TBE) service for early access 🚑 2. We presented great research by sharing with media from around the world 🎤 3. We held an early access sign-up for our flagship product - TailBook 🐈 🐕 It is important to note that all this was possible thanks to the efforts of a great team and especially Elena Khramkina and Siarhei Matsuka, who made this participation at Web Summit 2024 as successful and efficient as possible! You guys are awesome! 🧡 What are our future plans? In the very near future we will finalize the development of the first version of TailBook and the updated web-version of FreeVet! 🤗 We are also actively engaging with everyone we have been lucky enough to make contact with: discussing investment, partnerships, development, it's very inspiring! 🤞 Thank you to all the organizers and participants of Web Summit 2024 🧡 We look forward to meeting again, we will try to move to a new stage by this time - I'm sure we will have something to share! 😉 P.S. Hi Friends, very excited to share some exciting news with you, there are three of them and they all have to do with TailBook Ecosystem and FreeVet (TBE)'s participation in Web Summit 2024! Participation in Web Summit is an important stage in the development of impact startups! 😁 🌍 This year, as I mentioned, our TailBook ecosystem is going to Web Summit Lisbon as an impact startup! 🤗 Already from November 11-14, we will be part of one of the biggest tech events in the world, presenting our mission in front of thousands of attendees and industry leaders. Why is this so important to us? TailBook is more than just a startup; it's a team committed to improving the lives of homeless animals, promoting the well-being of pets, and helping society become kinder and more compassionate. Attending Web Summit is a unique chance to spread the word about our work to create an ecosystem where animal welfare issues receive the attention, support and resources they deserve. We look forward to sharing our experience and ideas with other enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, investors and people who care about animals. And we are eternally grateful for the opportunities that this large-scale event opens up for us! It is an honor and an inspiration to be part of a global discussion about social and environmental impact, sustainable development. And we are confident that we offer exactly the solutions that can bring about positive change. Friends, we strive to speak the same language with everyone who helps animals! 😊 We are happy to share our success in localising our services!🎉 The first version of TailBook will be available not only in English🇬🇧, but also in Montenegrin🇲🇪, French🇫🇷, Spanish🇪🇸, Ukrainian🇺🇦 and Russian🇷🇺! And if we succeed, in several more languages!🤝 This was made possible thanks to the wonderful people (including Anna Chub and Maksim Silianov) who not only made the translation in full compliance with the intended meaning, but also took into account the specifics and peculiarities of the countries into whose language the translation was made!❤️ And our FreeVet vet question bot already works in English🇬🇧, Montenegrin🇲🇪 and Russian🇷🇺! Why is localisation important?🌎 One of the main obstacles to achieving sustainable development goals worldwide is the language barrier. The issue of localisation becomes particularly important for the following reasons: 1. Increasing accessibility and inclusiveness 2. Building trust and cultural relevance 3. 3. Improved communication 4. Compliance with international standards and sustainable development goals 5. Increased engagement and support Interesting fact😎 According to Common Sense Advisory reports, localisation significantly improves consumer perception of projects and initiatives. More than 75% of people prefer to interact with products and services in their native language. Unexpected consequences of localisation 😉 Inattention to localisation issues can often lead to completely unexpected consequences, here is one of them: American Airlines ran an advertising campaign to promote its leather seats with the slogan ‘Fly in Leather’. However, when translated into Spanish, the phrase was translated as ‘Vuela en cuero’, which literally means ‘fly naked’. TailBook received impact startup status at Web Summit 2024! 🥳 What kind of startups get impact status? As the Web Summit impact team points out, it's an initiative to recognize and highlight startups in the Web Summit network that are committed to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 💪 In selecting the startups that receive impact startup status, the WebSummit team uses the UN Sustainable Development Goals to determine which emerging companies are doing good. Impact startups prioritize collaboration and idea sharing when developing technology 🤝 Why it matters? Impact Startup status means for us to be publicly recognized for the potential and appreciated for the impact our ideas and solutions can bring to make a difference in the world. We are proud to be creating a project that can significantly improve the lives of homeless animals 🥰 Did you know that? Animal welfare is a prerequisite for achieving most of the Sustainable Development Goals, according to a report According to the UN Environment Program's (UNDP) Civil Society Division at the Global Forum on Animal Welfare in April 2020, animal welfare is a prerequisite for achieving most of the Sustainable Development Goals (UNDP Montenegro).
