     Joyce la Zouche was the daughter of William la Zouche, 1st Lord Zouche of Mortimer and Alice de Toeni.1,2 She married John de Botetourt, 2nd Lord Botetourt, son of Thomas de Botetourt and Joan de Somery, before 31 May 1347.1 She died after 4 May 1372.1
     From before 31 May 1347, her married name became de Botetourt.1

     Charles William Rowntree was born on 24 July 1930 at Laconia, Belknap County, New Hampshire, U.S.A.G.2,3 He was the son of Augustine Rowntree and Elizabeth Grieve.2,3 He married Brenda Swan.2 He married Dorothy Patricia James, daughter of Joseph James and Dorothy Coyne, in 1950.2,3 He died on 17 February 2002 at age 71 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.G.2,3

Joyce de Botetourt, Baroness Botetourt1

     Joyce de Botetourt, Baroness Botetourt was the daughter of John de Botetourt and Maud de Grey.1 She married Sir Hugh Burnell, 2nd Lord Burnell, son of Nicholas Burnell, 1st Lord Burnell and Mary (?), between 1 January 1386 and 21 April 1386.1,2 She died on 1 January 1406/7, without issue.1 She was buried at Halesowen, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 An inquest post mortem was held for her on 12 April 1407.1
     She succeeded as the 3rd Baroness Botetourt [E., 1305] in 1385, suo jure.1 From between 1 January 1386 and 22 May 1386, her married name became Burnell.1
     On her death, the Barony of Botetourt is regarded as having fallen into abeyance between her three aunts until 1764, when Norborne Berkely proved himself the heir.1
