     Anne Alves was the daughter of John Alves and Helen Baillie.1,2 She married Sir William Arbuthnot, 1st Bt., son of Robert Arbuthnot, 2nd of Haddo-Rattray and Mary Urquhart, on 13 September 1800.1 She died on 19 July 1846.1
     From 13 September 1800, her married name became Arbuthnot.1

     John Alves Arbuthnot was born on 3 October 1802 at Queen Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1,2 He was the son of Sir William Arbuthnot, 1st Bt. and Anne Alves.1 He married Mary Arbuthnot, daughter of George Arbuthnot and Elizabeth Fraser, on 2 June 1832 at Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 2 August 1875 at age 72.1
     He was founding partner of Arbuthnot Latham & Company.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Coworth Park, Old Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1

     Mary Arbuthnot was born on 29 April 1812 at Madras, IndiaG.1,2 She was the daughter of George Arbuthnot and Elizabeth Fraser.1 She married John Alves Arbuthnot, son of Sir William Arbuthnot, 1st Bt. and Anne Alves, on 2 June 1832 at Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1,2 She died on 30 March 1859 at age 46.1

Elizabeth Marjorie Plumb, daughter of Charles Henry Plumb, Baron Plumb and Marjorie Dorothy Dunn, on 8 October 1971.1 He and Hon. Elizabeth Marjorie Plumb were divorced in 1982.1 He married, secondly, Swee Lien Ong, daughter of Boon Bah Ong, on 14 February 1984.1 He and Swee Lien Ong were divorced in 1999.2
