     A contract for the marriage of John Auchmoutle and Isobel Wemyss was signed on 10 December 1590.¹ He died on 11 October 1608.¹

     Vice-Admiral Edward Russell Gibson, 3rd Baron Ashbourne was born on 1 June 1901.¹ He was the son of Hon. Edward Graves Mayne Gibson and Mary Phillips Greg.¹ He married Rita Frances Manning Hazeland, daughter of Ernest Manning Hazeland and Helene Hanish, on 20 July 1929.¹ He died on 3 September 1983 at age 82.¹
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He was educated at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1917 and 1918, on board H.M.S. Superb, H.M.S. Dreadnought, and H.M.S. Monarch.² In 1925 he switched to submarines and served aboard L3, L4 and L12.² He was Captain of the submarine, H48.² He was Captain of the submarine, H.M.S. Pandora.² He gained the rank of Commander in 1934 in the Royal Navy.² He gained the rank of Captain in 1939.² He fought in the Second World War, taking part in the assault on Sicily.² He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Ashbourne, of Ashbourne, co. Meath [I., 1885] on 21 January 1942.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1943.² He was Captain of the minelayer, H.M.S. Ariadne between 1943 and 1945.² He was awarded the Officer, U.S. Legion of Merit in 1944.² He was Commander of the 3rd Submarine Flotilla in 1945.² He was Captain of the light cruiser, H.M.S. Mauritius between 1947 and 1948.² He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1948.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1950.² He was Admiral Superintendant of the dockyard at Gibralter between 1950 and 1952.² He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1952.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Devon between 1955 and 1965.² He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Devon between 1962 and 1965.²

     Lady Dorothea Stewart was the daughter of John Stewart, 5th Earl of Atholl and Lady Mary Ruthven.² She married William Murray, 2nd Earl of Tullibardine, son of John Murray, 1st Earl of Tullibardine and Catherine Drummond, in September 1604.² She died before 6 August 1628.²
     Her married name became Murray. After her marriage, Lady Dorothea Stewart was styled as Countess of Tullibardine circa August 1613.

     Mary Phillips Greg was the daughter of Henry Russell Greg.¹ She married Hon. Edward Graves Mayne Gibson, son of Edward Gibson, 1st Baron Ashbourne and Frances Maria Adelaide Colles, on 15 August 1900.² She died on 19 December 1919.²
     From 15 August 1900, her married name became Gibson.²

     Lady Mary Murray was the daughter of William Murray, 2nd Earl of Tullibardine and Lady Dorothea Stewart.¹ She married Sir John Moncreiff of that Ilk, 1st Bt., son of William Moncreiffe, 11th of that Ilk and Anne Moray, circa 1635.¹ She died in December 1650.²
     From circa 1635, her married name became Moncreiff.¹

     Sir John Moncreiff of that Ilk, 1st Bt. was the son of William Moncreiffe, 11th of that Ilk and Anne Moray.^2,3 He married, firstly, Anne Beaton, daughter of David Beaton of Creich.⁴ He married, secondly, Lady Mary Murray, daughter of William Murray, 2nd Earl of Tullibardine and Lady Dorothea Stewart, circa 1635.¹ He died circa 1651.
     In 1605 he sat as a Minor Baron in Scottish Parliament.⁴ He was created 1st Baronet Moncreiff [Nova Scotia] on 22 April 1626, with special remainder to his heirs male whatsoever.⁴ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Perthshire between 1639 and 1641.⁴

     Sir John Frederick, 1st Bt. was born on 10 March 1677/78.² He was the son of Thomas Frederick and Leonora Maresco.¹ He married Barbara Kinnersley on 15 July 1727.² He died on 3 October 1755 at age 77.
     He was created 1st Baronet Frederick, of Burwood House, Surrey [Great Britain] on 10 June 1723, with a special remainder to his brother Thomas.¹

     Helen Isabel Murray was born on 7 June 1896.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Mordaunt Murray and Isabel Pemberton.¹ She died on 23 June 1957 at age 61, unmarried.¹

     Brigadier Arthur Stewart Pakington Murray was born on 9 September 1899.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Arthur Mordaunt Murray and Mabel Meliora Nicholson.¹ He married Winifreda Irene Bevan, daughter of Edmund Henry Bevan and Hon. Joan Mary Conyers Norton, on 30 September 1961.¹ He died in 1983 at Blyth, Suffolk, England.²
     Brigadier Arthur Stewart Pakington Murray usually went by his middle name of Stewart.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Grenadier Guards.¹
