     Isaac Holroyd was born in July 1708.² He was the son of John Holroyd and Sarah Elwood.^3,4 He married Dorothy Baker, daughter of Daniel Baker.² He died on 11 July 1778.²
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1728 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He was a practising barrister.² He lived at Dunamore, County Meath, Ireland^G.¹

     Hon. Louisa Dorothea Holroyd was the daughter of John Baker-Holroyd, 1st Earl of Sheffield and Abigail Way.¹ She married Lt.-Gen. Sir William Henry Clinton, son of General Sir Henry Clinton and Harriet Carter, on 14 March 1797.¹ She died on 14 May 1854.¹
     From 14 March 1797, her married name became Clinton.¹
