     Walter Herbert Deane-Spread was born in 1890.¹ He was the son of Robert Henry Spread and Jessie Letitia Bradshaw.¹ He married Ruby Lish, daughter of Thomas Lish, in 1924.¹
     He was given the name of Walter Herbert Deane Spread at birth.¹

     Patrick Haldane, 1st of Lanrick was born circa 1637.¹ He was the son of Sir John Haldane, 11th of Gleneagles and Margaret Fraser.² He married, firstly, Helen Dow.¹ He married, secondly, Agnes Haldane, daughter of George Haldane, on 18 February 1675.¹ He died in May 1686.¹
     The lands of Lanrick were settled on him by his brother Mungo.¹

     Helen Dow married Patrick Haldane, 1st of Lanrick, son of Sir John Haldane, 11th of Gleneagles and Margaret Fraser.¹ She died in January 1673.¹
     Her married name became Haldane.¹

     John Haldane, 2nd of Lanrick was born in 1677.¹ He was the son of Patrick Haldane, 1st of Lanrick and Agnes Haldane.² He married Margaret Murray, daughter of John Murray, 14th of Touchadam and Polmaise and Anne Gibson.¹ He died on 28 December 1764.¹
     He fought in the 1715 Uprising in 1715.¹ He fought in the 1745 Uprising in 1745.¹ In 1746 afterthe Battle of Culloden he escaped to France and was exempted from the Act of Indemnity.¹

     John Murray, 14th of Touchadam and Polmaise was born on 15 December 1649.² He was the son of John Murray of Touchadam and Polmaise and Janet Nisbet.² He married Anne Gibson, daughter of Sir Alexander Gibson of Durie and Marjory Murray.²

     Margaret Murray is the daughter of John Murray, 14th of Touchadam and Polmaise and Anne Gibson.^2,3 She married John Haldane, 2nd of Lanrick, son of Patrick Haldane, 1st of Lanrick and Agnes Haldane.¹
     Her married name became Haldane.¹

     Alexander Haldane was the son of John Haldane, 2nd of Lanrick and Margaret Murray.² He died on 9 January 1764, unmarried.¹
     He fought in the 1745 Uprising in 1745, after which he escaped to the Continent.¹

     Patrick Haldane was the son of John Haldane, 2nd of Lanrick and Margaret Murray.² He died on 23 January 1761.¹
     He was educated at Leyden University, Leyden, The Netherlands^G, as a medical student.¹ He graduated from Rheims University, Rheims, Champagne, France^G, in 1758 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹

     Anne Haldane was the daughter of John Haldane, 2nd of Lanrick and Margaret Murray.² She married Thomas Forrester of Denovan in 1736.¹ She died on 30 April 1784.¹
     From 1736, her married name became Forrester.¹
