     Lady Elizabeth Fane is the daughter of Francis Fane, 1st Earl of Westmorland and Mary Mildmay.¹ She married, firstly, Sir John Cope, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Cope, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Chaworth.¹ She married, secondly, William Cope, son of Richard Cope and Anne Walter.¹
     Her married name became Cope.¹

     Sir John Cope, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 28 August 1608.² He was the son of Sir William Cope, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Chaworth.^2,3 He married, secondly, Lady Elizabeth Fane, daughter of Francis Fane, 1st Earl of Westmorland and Mary Mildmay.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Walter, daughter of Sir John Walter, on 11 November 1626.² He died on 13 October 1638 at age 30.²
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Cope, of Hanwell, co. Oxford [E., 1611] on 2 August 1637.²

     William Cope is the son of Richard Cope and Anne Walter.² He married Lady Elizabeth Fane, daughter of Francis Fane, 1st Earl of Westmorland and Mary Mildmay.¹
     He lived at Icombe, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     Samuel Kentish married Elizabeth Swymmer, daughter of William Swymmer, before 1727.¹ He died before 1727.¹
     He was Clerk in Chancery.¹ He lived at St. Dunstan's, Stepney, London, England^G.¹

     Mary Michel is the daughter of John Michel.¹ She married Edward Buckley Batson.¹
     Her married name became Batson.¹

     John Michel died in 1739.²
     He lived at Kingston Russell Manor, Dorset, England^G.¹

     General Sir Henry Fane was born on 26 November 1779.¹ He was the son of Henry Fane and Anne Batson.¹ He died on 24 March 1840 at age 60, without legitimate issue.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lyme Regis between 1802 and 1818.³ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to King William IV.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 1st Dragoon Guards.¹ He was Commander-in-Chief of the West Indies.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sandwich between 1829 and 1830.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hastings between 1830 and 1831.³

     Colonel Charles Fane was the son of Henry Fane and Anne Batson.¹ He died in 1813 at Vittoria, Spain^G, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 59th Regiment.¹ He fought in the Battle of Vitoria in 1813.¹

     Nevile Fane was born on 17 May 1820.¹ He was the son of Vere Fane and Elizabeth Chaplin.¹ He died on 8 March 1852 at age 31, without issue.¹

     Major Vincent Glenton Tofts was the son of Charles Tofts.¹ He married Joyce Patricia Hancock, daughter of Reverend William Hugh Munely Hancock, on 16 March 1957.¹ He died in 1983.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Army.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹
