     John Crosbie was the son of Sir Thomas Crosbie and Elizabeth Hamilton.2 He married Mary Thompson, daughter of unknown Thompson.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 25 March 1762.1
     He held the office of Governor of the Fort of Aberdeen.1 He fought in the Battle of Culloden.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Army.1 He fought in the Battle of Dettingen, where he lost an arm.1 His last will was dated 9 April 1742.1 He lived in 1752 at County Wicklow, IrelandG.1
