     Lt.-Col. James Leslie Rose Weir was born on 29 January 1883 at Ghazipur, India.¹ He was the son of Colonel Patrick Alexander Weir and Alice Mary Reid.¹ He married Thyra Letitia Alexandra Sommers, daughter of Charles Christian Sommers and Hannah Arkle, on 6 March 1912 at Rangoon, Burma.¹

     Robert Hale Blagden Hale was born on 5 May 1780.² He married Lady Theodosia Eleanor Bourke, daughter of Most Rev. Joseph Deane Bourke, 3rd Earl of Mayo and Elizabeth Meade, in 1807.¹ He died on 20 December 1855 at age 75.^3,2
