     William Henry Dawnay, 7th Viscount Downe was born on 15 May 1812.¹ He was the son of William Henry Dawnay, 6th Viscount Downe and Lydia Heathcote.² He married Mary Isabel Bagot, daughter of Rt. Rev. Hon. Richard Bagot and Lady Harriet Villiers, on 25 July 1843.¹ He died on 26 January 1857 at age 44.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Rutland between 1841 and 1846.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Downe [I., 1681] on 23 May 1846.¹

     Mary Isabel Bagot was the daughter of Rt. Rev. Hon. Richard Bagot and Lady Harriet Villiers. She married, firstly, William Henry Dawnay, 7th Viscount Downe, son of William Henry Dawnay, 6th Viscount Downe and Lydia Heathcote, on 25 July 1843.¹ She married, secondly, Sidney Leveson Lane, son of John Newton Lane and Hon. Agnes Bagot, on 6 January 1863. She died on 14 April 1900.¹
     From 25 July 1843, her married name became Dawnay. After her marriage, Mary Isabel Bagot was styled as Viscountess Downe on 23 May 1847. From 6 January 1863, her married name became Lane.

     Sidney Leveson Lane was born on 13 April 1831.² He was the son of John Newton Lane and Hon. Agnes Bagot.² He married Mary Isabel Bagot, daughter of Rt. Rev. Hon. Richard Bagot and Lady Harriet Villiers, on 6 January 1863.

     Caroline Eliza Farquhar was born in 1814 at London, England^G.² She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Harvie Farquhar, 2nd Bt. and Sybella Martha Rockcliffe.^1,3 She married Lt.-Gen. Hon. Charles Grey, son of Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey and Hon. Mary Elizabeth Ponsonby, on 26 July 1836.⁴ She died on 4 November 1890.⁴
     Her married name became Grey. She was appointed Lady, Royal Order of Victoria and Albert (V.A.)⁴ She held the office of Extra Bedchamber Woman to HM Queen Victoria.⁴

     Henry George Grey, 3rd Earl Grey was born on 28 December 1802.¹ He was the son of Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey and Hon. Mary Elizabeth Ponsonby.² He married Maria Copley, daughter of Captain Sir Joseph Copley, 3rd Bt. and Lady Cecil Hamilton, on 9 August 1832.¹ He died on 9 October 1894 at age 91.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Winchelsea between 1826 and 1830.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Higham Ferrers between 1830 and 1831.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Northumberland between 1831 and 1832.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Maria Copley was the daughter of Captain Sir Joseph Copley, 3rd Bt. and Lady Cecil Hamilton.² She married Henry George Grey, 3rd Earl Grey, son of Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey and Hon. Mary Elizabeth Ponsonby, on 9 August 1832.¹ She died on 14 September 1879.¹ She died on 14 September 1879, without issue.²
     From 9 August 1832, her married name became Grey. After her marriage, Maria Copley was styled as Countess Grey on 17 July 1845.

     Captain Sir Joseph Copley, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1769.² He was the son of Sir Joseph Copley, 1st Bt. and Mary Buller.¹ He married Lady Cecil Hamilton, daughter of Rev. Hon. George Hamilton and Elizabeth Onslow, on 23 May 1799.¹ He died on 21 May 1838.¹
     He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.³ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Copley [G.B., 1778] on 4 March 1806.³
