Thomas Holmes, 1st Baron Holmes was born in 1699.1 He was the son of Henry Holmes and Mary Holmes. He married, firstly, Anne Pleyer, daughter of Henry Pleyer.1 He married Catherine Leigh, daughter of John Leigh.1 He died on 21 July 1764.1
