     Emily Mary Skyring was born circa 4 October 1806 at Sevenoaks, Kent, England.1 She was the daughter of Colonel William Skyring and Elizabeth Austen.1 She married Captain Frederick Torrens, son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Torrens and Sarah Patton, in December 1835 at St. George's Church, Hanover Square, London, England.1 She died on 23 April 1874 at King Street, London, England.1
     From December 1835, her married name became Torrens.1

     From 13 July 1802, her married name became Skyring.1 From 5 July 1810, her married name became Cooke.1
