Melchior Guy Dickens was baptised on 18 February 1696 at St. James's, Paddington, London, England.1 He married, firstly, Mariane Oiseau in 1720.1 He married, secondly, Hannah Handcock, daughter of Very Rev. Stephen Handcock and Margaret Warner, on 6 February 1722 at St. John's, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He died circa 1775.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 47th Regiment of Foot.1 He was Minister to Prussia and Sweden.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Russia.1

     Maj.-Gen. Gustavus Guy Dickens was born in 1732.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Melchior Guy Dickens and Hannah Handcock.1 He married Frances Tracy, daughter of John Tracy and Anne Atkins, on 7 April 1762 at St. Margaret, Westmisnter, London, England.1 He died in 1802 at Fleet Prison.1
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Gentleman Usher to Queen Charlotte in 1777.1 He held the office of Gentleman Usher of the Privy Chamber in 1783.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards.1 He was committed to Fleet Prison for debt.1
