Maj.-Gen. Pierrepont Henry Mundy was the son of General Godfrey Basil Meynell Mundy and Hon. Sarah Brydges Rodney.2 He married, firstly, Harriet Georgina Tyler, daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir George Tyler and Harriet Margaret Sullivan, in 1859. He married, secondly, Geraldine Henrietta Townshend, daughter of Reverend Maurice FitzGerald Stephens-Townshend and Alice Elizabeth Shute, on 30 April 1870.1 He died in 1889.
He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Horse Artillery.1 He lived at Castletownshend, County Cork, IrelandG.1 He lived at Thornbury House, Thornbury, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1
