Love Island 2022 contestant Liam Llewellyn lasted just four days in the villa before he made the decision to quit.
The Welsh islander broke the news to the others ahead of the first recoupling, telling them the fact he ‘wasn’t feeling quite himself’ had made it harder for him to give his all to the experience.
‘This isn’t a spur-of-the-moment type thing. So yeah, I’ve made the decision I’m gonna leave,’ he told the islanders, leaving many of them in tears.
Liam was left single and vulnerable after the show’s first bombshell Davide Sanclimenti nabbed partner Gemma Owen from him.
For the first time ever, contestants had been paired by the public, which led Liam to being partnered up with footballer Michael Owen’s daughter.
Later, he bagged dates with the show’s two new bombshells Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Afia Tonkmor.

Who is Liam Llewellyn?
Liam Llewellyn, who hails from Newport in South Wales, is currently studying for his Masters’ degree in Strength and Conditioning.
While he admits his mum would describe him as a ‘little sh*t’, Liam insists he’s a good kid really.
‘They’d probably say quite generous, quite caring, happy, chatty, chirpy, bubbly,’ he insisted. ‘I wear my heart on my sleeve, I can’t hide how I feel about anyone. I’m probably quite emotional as well come to think about it.’
And, like his original partner Gemma, the islander also has a sports star father in the form of former Wales international rugby union player David Llewellyn. He played his club rugby for Ebbw Vale, Newport and Neath.
While Liam currently needs all the help he can get as he risks being booted from the villa, he’s got some flirting tactics up his sleeve that he’s shared.
‘Pay them a compliment!’ he shared. ‘The thing that girls quite like is that I’m not just like, “You’re mint.” I’m like, “Your eyes are piercing, I’m lost in your eyes.”
‘Or I’ll say something like, “You’ve got nice feet” or something.’

Student Liam is 22-years-old.
‘I think 22 is a really nice age to meet someone, you’ve got your years ahead of you so you have time to experience stuff and grow together,’ he said.
‘I think Love Island is a great opportunity to meet someone, you’re in with a load of different types, so you can get to grips with what you really like about people.’
