It’s hard to keep up with Coronation Street episodes over Christmas and New Year, so allow us to present our full episode guide for the festive fortnight.
The drama couldn’t be higher either, as Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) could end up ruining her own wedding day, when gloomy groom Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) is forced to concede that his well laid plans are in tatters.
As we head to the 2023 jubilations, killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) is feeling the pressure after a terrible crash injures Teddy.
With suspicious Teddy’s life hanging in the balance, is Stephen going to kill again to protect his dark secrets?
And there is love in the air for Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) – well, that’s what he hopes.
Armed with an engagement ring, will he be able to win Daisy Midgeley’s (Charlotte Jordan) hand in marriage.

Christmas Day
Fiz opens her Christmas present and is disappointed to discover a box of chocolates and a keyring. Tyrone shares a secret grin with the girls.
As Tyrone, Hope and Ruby descend the stairs in their wedding outfits intent on surprising Fiz, they find a note on the table informing them that she’s gone to buy a turkey. In a panic, Tyrone calls Fiz’s phone, only to find she’s left it at home.
As Chesney and Gemma instruct him to head to the hotel while Bernie and Dev wait for Fiz, Fiz’s car breaks down on a country road. Realising she has no phone, Fiz sets off on foot to look for a phone box as Tyrone tells the guests it looks like the wedding is off.
As they head to the Rovers to tuck into the buffet, has Tyrone’s surprise spectacularly backfired? Fiz stops a passing walker, Chris, and explains her predicament. Will he help?
Audrey, Gail, Nick, David, Shona, Leanne, Max, Sam and Toyah sit down to Christmas lunch in the bistro. Max unwraps his present and is thrilled to find a state of the art editing package.
But when David makes a joke about Griff, Max leaps to his defence and storms out. David regrets his remarks.
Jenny confides in Ken how Daniel was planning to propose to Daisy but the engagement ring was stolen in the burglary. Ken’s left thoughtful. Can Daniel pull off his proposal after all?
His sofa plans up in smoke, George wonders where they’re all going to sit and what on earth he can give Eileen for Christmas. Todd forms an idea. Tim’s thrilled with his present from Sally. Elaine insists Stephen joins her for a glass of wine. Realising he has little choice, Stephen paints on a smile.
Boxing Day
As Tim senses that Elaine’s feelings for Stephen are not reciprocated, Stephen calls at No.8 with the gift she gave him.
Assuming it’s for his birthday, David’s underwhelmed to discover a hip flask and showing Gail brands it a very stingy present from someone who’s supposedly so wealthy.
When Gail then spots Elaine buying a bottle of whisky for the hip flask she bought Stephen, Gail voices her suspicions to Nick who vows to get to the bottom of it.
As Elaine hands over the whisky to Stephen, Gail reveals that she’s spoken to Gabrielle and he’s got some explaining to do.
When David spots Griff being pally with Max at the Christmas market, David loses his temper and tries to drag Max away, but telling David he hates him, Max announces that he’s moving in with Griff. David reels.
Laurence suggests to Sean they have a trip away. But when Todd sees Laurence surreptitiously send a text he’s suspicious. As Sean announces that he and Dylan are off to the Peaks with Laurence, Eileen and George clock Todd’s jealousy.
Daisy scrolls through her socials, but it’s clear Daniel doesn’t approve which upsets Daisy. Amy shows Daniel one of Daisy’s posts raising breast cancer awareness and points out that not all social media is the work of the devil.
Sam finds Hope listening to her John Stape cassette and talking to her dead Dad. Confiding in Sam about how it’s her way of getting to know him, Hope makes Sam promise to keep schtum.
Wednesday December 28
As Sarah tells Stephen her business venture is all set to go once he provides the funding, Stephen squirms. Bigging it up to Elaine, he suggests rather than lending him the money, she should invest directly through Sarah.
Revealing she knows all about their plans, Carla has it out with Sarah. Furious, Sarah drags Michael out, announcing they both resign. But when Stephen confesses he can’t find the cash, Sarah’s gutted. Elaine says she’d like to invest but her house sale has fallen through.
With little choice Sarah and Michael return to the factory and beg Carla to give them their jobs back. Will Carla agree? Jenny reveals that Teddy called from Canada and has some new information regarding Leo, Stephen masks his inner turmoil
Sean, Dylan and Laurence return from their night in the Peaks having enjoyed themselves.
Alone, Laurence tells Todd that it’s clear he doesn’t like him and would welcome a chance to change his mind. Todd thaws over a bottle of wine and when Laurence goes to leave Todd leans in for a kiss. Will Laurence respond?
Max is happy to help when Griff asks him to update some of their videos. Toyah warns David that Griff is a dangerous man and he needs to get Max out of his grasp. David’s shaken.
Summer calls at Mike and Esther’s house and hands them an envelope containing her wages. Esther relents and invites her in.
Roy apologises to Nina for causing her to miss her cinema trip. Nina points out if he’d use the mobile phone she got him, he could have called her.
Thursday December 29
When Jenny reveals that Teddy will be dropping by later to discuss what he’s found out, Stephen’s filled with dread. His day goes from bad to worse when Adam explains he’s been contacted by Six Fellas.
But when he says they want to settle out of court, Stephen wonders if his luck is changing. As Teddy heads to the Rovers, clearly the worse for wear, Stephen catches him.
Teddy reveals that Leo never arrived in Canada, the texts he sent came from Weatherfield and he intends to break the news to Jenny.
But as Teddy crosses the street, he’s hit by a van. Nick clocks the accident with horror as Teddy lies unconscious in the road.
Todd apologises to Sean for coming onto Laurence but insists their flirting was mutual, Sean loses his temper.
Laurence confides that it’s the anniversary of Lindsey’s death, he still feels guilty for marrying her and must buy her parents some flowers. Todd finds Mary and Rita discussing the death of Laurence’s wife and how it was big news at the time. Todd’s intrigued.
Touched by their kindness, Summer tells Mike and Esther she’s prepared to talk to their solicitor about surrogacy. But when Billy arrives at the house, having received a call from Esther, Summer’s shocked to see him. What will he make of her decision?
Carla’s disappointed when Peter reveals he’s agreed to work on New Year’s Eve.
Friday December 30
As Teddy lies unconscious in the road, Jenny hurries over. Have all Stephen’s problems been solved?
Todd does some research into the death of Laurence’s wife, Lindsey, coming up with his own conclusion.
Summer is forced to talk to Billy, will he support her decision?
Nina tells Roy how much easier life would be if he’d embrace technology and use his new smartphone.
New Year’s Eve
Stephen’s relieved to see £10k in his account. When Jenny then reveals that she’s had a call from the hospital informing her that Teddy’s taken a turn for the worse, Stephen’s quietly thrilled.
Stephen tells Jenny that just before Teddy’s accident, he confided in him that he saw Leo in Canada and he made it very clear that he never wanted to see either of them again.
As the New Year celebrations begin Tim, Sally, Elaine and Stephen watch the fireworks. Stephen tells Elaine that he’s got a feeling 2023 is going to be a good year.
Billy encourages Summer to attend Amy’s party, pointing out that she can’t avoid Aaron forever. Billy confides in Paul that he hopes Aaron will be able to make her see sense over her surrogacy plans.
Roy joins Evelyn and Brian and reveals that for the last two years he’s been secretly studying for his VBRV, Volunteer Bat Roost Visitor qualification.
Peter takes Carla to Speed Daal for dinner. Carla’s underwhelmed. Glenda encourages Todd and Sean to bury the hatchet. Jenny ushers the revellers outside to watch the fireworks.
Monday January 2
Roy arranges to meet Nina, Brian and Asha at the bat group meeting in the woods after dropping Evelyn at a friend’s house.
But when Brian and Nina get a message saying the meeting has been cancelled they realise they have no way of getting in touch with Roy.
Roy arrives at the woods but drops his thermos in the river. Arriving at the woods to look for Roy, Nina Asha and Brian spot his car and head off towards the rover to look for him but Nina is shocked when she spots Roy’s thermos in the water, Nina makes her way down the bank but she slips, bangs her head and rolls into the river.
Asha and Brian watch in panic. Brian drags Nina’s limp body from the river whilst a fearful Asha calls for an ambulance.
Billy is shocked when Summer reveals she is back with Aaron and he is fully behind her surrogacy plans.
At Mike and Esther’s house, Summer answers the door to the bailiffs. As the bailiffs start gathering up Mike and Esther’s things, Summer’s horrified. When Mike and Esther return, Summer demands to know what is going on.
Over tea, Billy tells Summer that he’d like to accompany her to her appointment with the surrogacy consultant as he intends to support her in any way he can.
Lily sits with her new earpods in, watching one of Max’s far right propaganda videos. Lily shows the propaganda video to Eliza and promises to send her a link. Stu calls round with Eliza’s laptop and shows a shocked David and Shona the video.
Jenny and Stephen visit Teddy in hospital to find him still unconscious, but when Teddy suddenly opens his eyes, Stephen’s mounting panic is evident. What will Teddy say?
When Gemma confides in Bernie that she’d like to get married, Bernie advises her to take charge and start organising the wedding as Chesney will be thrilled. But is Bernie right?
Tuesday January 3
With Maria planning to rebrand the Christmas market as a Peace festival Griff orders Spider to meet him at his flat. Unaware that Griff is leading him to believe he is planning something for Maria’s meeting at the Town Hall.
Meanwhile Spider gets a message from Max asking him to meet him urgently. What is Max up to? Spider comes face to face with Griff who knocks him out cold with a crowbar.
As Roy and Nina leave the hospital, Roy continues to blame himself for endangering her life. When Sam calls at the cafe and tells Roy how helpful his phone is for his astronomy Roy heads off to town and returns with a new smartphone.
But as Nina and Asha show him how to use it Roy gets completely bewildered, has he done the right thing?
Summer, Billy, Mike and Esther attend a meeting with the surrogacy counsellor. Meanwhile Todd confides in Paul that he’s not convinced Mike and Esther are the upstanding Christian couple they make themselves out to be and he intends to do some digging.
Chesney tells Gemma that even if they had the money, he wouldn’t waste it on a wedding. But some home truths from Dev make him think.
Chesney returns home with an empty chilli sauce tub and shows Gemma how he’s turned it into a piggy bank so they can save up for the wedding. But Gemma is more concerned that Joseph got into trouble at school for using sign language.
In the hospital, Jenny assures Teddy that one day his memory will return and then they’ll all know the full story regarding Leo. Stephen privately hopes she’s wrong. When Jenny reveals that she’s invited Teddy to move in while he recuperates, Stephen’s quietly horrified.
Wednesday January 4
Maria, Alya, Yasmeen, Daryan, Stu and Gary set up the stalls at the Peace Market. Having been told by Griff and the gang that the Speed Daal van is now at the bottom of the canal Max is concerned when he sees it back on Victoria Street. When Lauren takes a call from her Dad, warning her to steer well away from the market today, a worried Max reckons they should call the police and warn people.
Will they be in time? After a successful operation, Spider regains consciousness. Toyah assures him that she’ll learn to put up with the dangers of his job as she can’t live without him.
Gemma and Bernie call at the school to confront Joseph’s teacher, Mrs York. When she is totally dismissive of Joseph’s BSL skills, a furious Gemma and Bernie stage a sit-in in a classroom, demanding that the school teach BSL to all their pupils. Michael is horrified to find himself locked in with them and explains that he only called in to discuss Glory’s start date at nursery.

Back on the street news of the protest reaches Chesney as the residents tune in to Gemma’s live stream. Mrs York locks the classroom door and announces that Gemma, Bernie and Michael can stay in there all night.
Damon offers Jacob a full time job at the bistro on double the money he’s getting at the factory. Jacob hands his notice in to Carla who warns him he’s making a mistake.
Damon tells Nick if he injects he will tell Leanne everything. But when Damon tells Jacob he needs him to take delivery of a package Jacob starts to regret his decision.
Jenny returns from the hospital with Teddy in tow and helps him into the pub. Stephen watches in despair. Brian enters the café to find Roy listening to classical music via his new smartphone. Roy reluctantly admits that it does have its uses.
