Netflix viewers will have to rush to watch a crime drama compared to Broadchurch before it’s taken down soon.
Airing in 2020, the series Deadwater Fell starred David Tennant as doctor Tom Kendrick, whose wife Kate (Anna Madeley) and their three young children are tragically killed in a house fire in a peaceful Scottish village.
Although Tom is pulled out of the fire alive, it soon emerges that all five were drugged, with an investigation then launched to determine a motive.
It’s then discovered the family were ‘far from happy’.
The four-part series also starred Cush Jumbo and Matthew McNulty as the couple’s neighbours and best friends Jess Milner and her boyfriend, Police Sergeant Steve Campbell.
When the show was released, the Radio Times called it a ‘complex and fascinating mystery’.
Meanwhile The Guardian compared it to Broadchurch, the crime drama that also starred Tennant which aired between 2013 and 2017.
However, the series will be removed from Netflix next month, with those wanting to watch only having a few weeks to do so.
Some have urged others not to miss out.
‘One thing about the British, they will give you a fantastic crime thriller series. If you want something dark but fun to watch this weekend, check out Deadwater Fell on Netflix,’ one viewer posted on X last year.
During an interview, Tennant previously warned viewers not to expect a neat conclusion to the drama.

‘It is a thriller and it does have elements that you recognise from crime drama but it is a bit more nebulous than that. It’s very character driven and it just keeps upsetting your expectations,’ he said.
‘I hope so. When you read the script the first time is the closest thing you will get to the experience the audience will have. The second time you’re thinking other things such as, “Oh if I were to do this what would it be like?”, or “how would I play that part?” And you start to unpick it.
‘I hope that the audience will just go on that journey and be confounded and surprised.’
