Well, I had an unexpected opportunity come up this week. Tomorrow, I am heading to New York City for the day to do an interview on FOX about my blog, upcycling and Pinterest. It’s always so surprising to me where this journey has taken me (and continues to take me.) Kriste and her husband are coming with me to make sure I get where I need to be (traveling to the city is a little intimidating to me) and I’ll make sure to take some pictures and let you know when the segment will air. I never know where opportunities like this will lead, but I view it as an adventure and just embrace it. So, if you think about it, say a little prayer for us as we’re traveling.
I need to get to bed early tonight, so I’m rested for the long day, but I did get some favorites selected. There were a lot of really amazing pieces shared in last week’s FFF! I think it’s always an inspiring bunch of links to look through, but some weeks it’s really difficult to pick just three favorites. This was one of those weeks.
Darielle from DD’s Cottage & Design shares pictures from a shopping trip to Atelier de Campagne and this post is pure eye candy. I especially loved this chippy hutch (and there were some beautiful old pull-toy horses as well.) It’s worth a visit…
Michelle from Knot Too Shabby shares a post on styling furniture and there are some beautiful pieces as well as examples of styling to enjoy. This one was my favorite…
Karen from Somewhat Quirky Designs did an amazing job on this faux inlay dresser. She hand painted all of those details and I tip my hat to her for that! I know it took a lot of time and it looks absolutely beautiful.
THanks so much for the party Marion – great features ( I’ve been ogling Karen’s dresser – it’s just magnificent! )
Have a great weekend

Thanks Marian for hosting the party and have a great time in New York City – how exciting!
Have fun in The Big Apple…I think the holiday tree was just put up at 30 rock.
Praying! Hope you have a wonderful time! What a fun and wonderful opportunity for you!!
I LOVE your creativity–and talent–and unassuming humility in all of your projects!!
What a blessing!! You encourage us!!
Marian, I am so excited for you! I have been checking in almost daily for years – what an adventure! You sure did pick an appropriate name for your blog, Miss Mustard Seed! I know it has grown beyond what you could ever think or imagine!
Yes thanks for the party. Its great to see what like minded people are fixing up. Post the fox video when you can, Marian!
As long as you don’t listen to or believe Faux NEWS, you’ll be fine!
Thanks so much for the party.
Marian, As a native New Yorker I hope you feel the wonderful energy that exists there.
No other city has the same vibe. M>
Don’t be intimidated about NYC. All of the streets are in a grid for the most part. Bring your walking shoes, it’s the big apple. I live in Brooklyn and Ct and hope you enjoy your visit.

I love New York. I hope you enjoyed your stay.
This is so exciting! So happy for you! I can’t wait to find out how/when it will air! Will you post links for those of us who don’t have cable?!
Wouldn’t you know someone would have to make a snide comment about FOX (“faux”). A lot of us rely on Fox to get “unbiased” reporting! Have a great time Marian!
Thanks for making my day with the feature!
