TrioMed & Philips have supported the Cardiology Department at Mater Dei Hospital - Malta in organising a Grand Round Meeting for clinicians from Cardiology, Radiology and A&E departments. The main topic for this meeting was “Use of AI in Cardiac Ultrasound Imaging”. The evening, chaired by Dr. Alexander Borg began with a brief introduction from CEO Peter Apap. This was followed by a presentation by Ms. Danay Valenzuela Rodriguez titled “Transcend today’s challenges in Cardiovascular Ultrasound”. Dr. Victoria Delgado delivered an engaging virtual presentation on “The Use of AI in Modern Imaging”. The event concluded with a live scanning demonstration carried out by Mr. Pasquale Iacobone showcasing the capabilities of the Philips Compact 5500 CVx and the Philips Epiq CVx Release 11. This event provided an excellent opportunity for clinicians to explore the latest AI innovations available on Philips platforms—valuable tools designed to support and enhance their daily responsibilities in patient care.

  • TrioMed has just finalized the installation of the Philips MR7700 at the GOZO GENERAL HOSPITAL. This will be the 5th MRI installation in Malta for TrioMed. The project kicked off with the installation and commissioning of a Philips 1.5T Ingenia MRI on a trailer supplied by Benelux Imaging back in March 2024. We are happy to have helped more than 2,800 patients who have benefited from this machine until the installation and commissioning of the permanent MRI Machine. The second phase of the project consisted of the construction and finishing of the hospital extension accommodating this new 3T MRI machine. The third and final phase of the project was the actual installation and commissioning of the new Philips MR 7700. The high-quality implementation of this project was led by our Projects Manager Ian Vella in collaboration with all members of TrioMed’s Field Support Teams Mark Salnitro Charles Cascun Andreas Castillo & Mike Vella, the Biomedical Department at Gozo General Hospital, the Biomedical Department at Mater Dei Hospital and the various teams from TrioMed’s different suppliers.

  • Our Sales Executive May Schembri, alongside audiologist Nicholas Desira have returned from an insightful visit to MED-EL in Innsbruck. This was a fantastic opportunity to engage with the MED-EL team, and network with other clinicians from all over the world. The training focused on Clinical Software applications, with a strong emphasis on software tools that enhance clinician's capabilities in the field. The integration of advanced technology is not just about improving techniques but it is centered around enhancing the quality of life for individuals with hearing loss.    A big thank you to everyone at Med-el for their hospitality and the invaluable knowledge shared. Looking forward to applying these insights in our work! Gionata Conni #hearingloss #softwareinnovation
