The future of the #ParisAgreement, #carbonmarkets, #greenfinancing, transition away from fossil fuels, oceans: these are just some of the topics that will be covered during the COP29 Azerbaijan Conference that kicked off Monday. Our own Amandine Hardowar de Rosnay bundled up to join the conference this year, and will be representing Mauritius in discussions. With #islandnations being in the unfair position of being doubly affected by climate change while contributing the least to it, we'd like to give a special shout-out to the youth organisations from island states (pictured here) currently carrying out a peaceful protest at the conference. Here's hoping for a great turnout for the COP29 -- followed by strong commitments and decisive action.
