For 15 years, the ENL Foundation has been transforming lives and empowering communities through the dedication of its team members, such as Dean Rungen, a Project Officer. In this video, Dean meets Yovanie Jeetoo, a resilient mother from Cité Jonction, Pailles, whose family has benefited from the ENL Foundation's support since 2012. The ENL Foundation has been a pillar for the Jeetoo family, helping her children achieve significant academic progress, providing food aid during COVID-19, supporting roof repairs after Cyclone Belal, and offering counselling sessions to strengthen their resilience. Today, inspired by the support she received, Yovanie is actively contributing to her community. Dean Rungen plays a crucial role in guiding families like Yovanie's, helping them overcome challenges and realise their community projects. Another step forward for sustainable energy in Mauritius ⚡ For over 20 years, Ecoasis Energy Solutions, a subsidiary of ENL Group, has been at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions. Commissioned by Omnicane Ltd., Ecoasis will oversee the construction of a 4.8 MWp photovoltaic solar farm in Saint Antoine. Spanning 4 hectares and featuring approximately 8,250 solar panels, this ambitious project—developed in collaboration with MCB Group, MCB Capital Markets Ltd (which is advising on the project), and the Calycé Group—is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by 7,300 tonnes annually. Construction is set to begin in July 2025, with the green energy integrated into the national grid upon completion. “We are honored to play a key role in this emblematic project, which demonstrates our commitment to innovative and renewable solutions. This new adventure marks a step forward in reducing the island's carbon footprint while paving the way for a sustainable energy future for generations to come,” says Didier Philogene, CEO of Ecoasis. Celebrating 15 Years of community impact with ENL Foundation ✨ For 15 years, ENL Foundation has been transforming lives thanks to the dedication of our committed team members, like Fleuriot Flore, Project Officer, who plays a key role in implementing the Foundation’s initiatives and empowering our beneficiaries. In this video, Fleuriot meets Loic Prodigson, a 23-year-old from Alma, who shares his inspiring journey. At the age of 7, Loïc joined our “Zanfan Sourir” programme, an initiative that supports nearly 200 children each year with academic assistance and creative workshops. The support he received enabled him to overcome illiteracy challenges and gain self-confidence. Today, Loïc is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in luxury marketing at the renowned Institut Escoffier His determination, combined with the scholarship from ENL Foundation, demonstrates how dedication and support can open doors to great opportunities. A heartfelt thank you to Eric ✨ Last December marked the departure of Eric Espitalier-Noël as CEO of ENL Commercial, after nearly 40 years of an exceptional career. This represents a significant chapter in ENL’s history, as Eric has contributed to the development of numerous sectors within the group since 1986, including automotive, express courier services, construction materials, eyewear manufacturing, and retail. Under his visionary and warm leadership, ENL Commercial has established itself over the years in Mauritius, with brands that have become leaders in their fields, such as Axess and Decathlon Maurice , whose arrival in Mauritius remains a memorable milestone for local commerce. This departure signifies the end of a wonderful journey and the beginning of a new chapter for Eric. On 28 November 2024, ENL Foundation, in collaboration with the MOL Charity Trust, celebrated the achievements of 19 women from Le Bouchon during a certificate ceremony held at La Place du Village, Gros Bois. Launched in January 2024, the "We Matter" project was designed to equip women with the tools needed to achieve economic independence and create positive change in their communities.
