At Home with Tash Sultana
Tash Sultana’s 2020 has been vastly different from her 2019, which was largely spent touring Europe, the US and Australia. Instead of further touring—which would’ve seen her debut a new show with a live band—the guitarist/singer-songwriter is focusing on her next album and enjoying her downtime at home. “This playlist is an insight into what I’ve been connecting with while in lockdown and includes some of my all-time favourite songs,” Sultana tells Apple Music. Below, she talks more about her favourite tracks. Erykah Badu, “Didn’t Cha Know” “This is my favourite song of all time. I think she is not of this world and music is just one dimension of a complex and intelligent being.” Kaiit, “Miss Shiney” “Kaiit is an incredible Australian artist who deserves a lot more recognition.” D’Angelo, “Really Love” “D’Angelo is one of the all-time greats. It would be rude not to include him in a playlist like this.” Anderson .Paak, “Jet Black” (feat. Brandy) “This song just has a wicked groove that keeps you moving the whole way through.” Matt Corby, “New Day Coming” “Matt is a great friend and an insanely great musician. He’s got to be one of Australia’s best musos.”
