2025, you have no idea what’s coming!
From 2021 to 2023 Fuckup Nights had poor results 😰 💩 The situation got so bad that a year ago Eric Jiménez and I took over to turn the ship around. And guess what? 2024 was a fantastic year for us! We had: 🌍 Active teams in more than 60 countries 👩👩👧👦 Impact on almost 50,000 in-person attendees and millions online 🏢 Corporate clients in more than 20 countries of 4 continents, from USA to Kenya, Peru, Germany and Austria! 😎 Events, workshops, keynotes, culture programs, startup programs for clients such as The World Bank, Oracle, Visa, Sanofi and more In 2025 we embark on a journey to grow our impact by 10x. Since we started back in 2012 we've had more than 1 million in-person attendees. In the next 10 years we're going to impact 10 million people 💥🚀 This means: 🌏 having active teams in 100+ countries simultaneously, 📺 new media formats in more languages, 🥰 new services for client that love us and want to do more with us, 🧑🏽💻 regional HQs, 😎 a new B2C offering for the many who love Fuckup Nights and ask "what's next?" after attending events and watching our content, with excellent quality and execution. All of this with the purpose to help people free themselves from the stigma of failure. So we all can live life to the fullest ❤️ We're very excited for this year! Congrats and happy new year to all the Fuckuppers around the world as well as to our global HQ team. Thank you Fuckup Nights for allowing to share our experiences and our #fuckups in our process to scale and building a profitable company. One thing is being an entrepreneur and other thing is being a businessman. Here I share some of my challenges, mistakes, layoffs, fuckups and outcomes I lived in this process. Thanks to my cofounders Jorge Alfaro and Sergio Blando for living this process together, to all my team, and thanks to our investors that always challenged me to do more than I thought that I was capable. One of my main learnings is that our investors are not only money givers… they are really like family and a good relation with them is one of the key factors of achieving your dreams. What would you do with a $12.4 million investment? We’re wrapping up the year with the story of our friend Antonio Pelaez Diaz, CEO and Founder of dapp —the largest interoperable QR payment network in Mexico. But to get where they are today, Antonio faced a costly, multimillion-dollar lesson. Find out how they managed to overcome this challenge and the invaluable lessons learned in the comments section below. 👇

Fuckup Nights for Companies Worldwide 🌍 📍🇲🇽 #TBT to the Johnson & Johnson MedTech offices in Mexico City, where we hosted a session on navigating "difficult" workplace conversations and the best strategies for addressing them. We worked with a diverse group of leaders from various areas to explore ways to improve communication. They were incredibly receptive and eager to embrace new learning opportunities. With leaders like these, we are sure they’ll achieve great things in 2025!

Rocking Scaling Week 2024 in Nairobi! 🤘 Inspiring stories from the social sector were shared in this much-needed space, transforming failures into valuable lessons. So proud of our speakers and audience! 👏
Earlier this month, I traveled to Nairobi to present our own Failure Fest by The Failure Institute Global & Fuckup Nights as part of Scaling Week 2024, organized by CGIAR and International Water Management Institute (IWMI) at International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). After hearing three stories of failure and overcoming challenges, the perfect atmosphere was created to keep sharing. Several people in the audience raised their hands to share their own failures, turning it into a true festival of failures. I learned so much from your stories and left feeling deeply inspired. Thanks to Inga Jacobs-Mata Lilian Ogwari and Loraine Ronchi for sharing their stories with vulnerability, and to Nora Hanke-Louw, Valencia Mbatha, Agnès Schneidt, Paula Neme, and the rest of the team for the incredible organization and for trusting that embracing failure as a part of our learning processes is the way forward.
