During the month of February our alumni in Oaxaca will focus on teambuilding by participating in various physical workshops. Last Tuesday players and the physical trainer of the Oaxacan soccer team Los Alebrijes welcomed our graduates in the stadium! Alumni were impressed with the personal stories of the team members who shared about the importance of discipline, teamwork, respect in sports, and fighting for their dreams and goals. After hearing these motivational stories it was time to exercise! ”If you look out for others, society will be better of in every way” In this video Marcel Zuidhof, co-founder of Hotel con Corazón, and Silvana Corres, general manager of Hotel con Corazón Oaxaca, share  how positive impact is created in the environment of the hotel by their team, guests and alliances. As a social enterprise Hotel con Corazón invests half of its profits in educational projects. Two years ago Mundo de Talentos was able to open its second branch in Oaxaca City with the support of financial and educational partner Hotel con Corazón Oaxaca. Since then, a fantastic collaboration has developed that makes possible the participation of 80 public primary school going students and 60 alumni in the program of vocational guidance of Mundo de Talentos in Oaxaca. In this culturally rich state, the Tourism module is an indispensable part of the Mundo de Talentos curriculum. One of the highlights of the program is the excursion to the hotel, where the staff introduces students to the hotel industry. Last Saturday was a festive closing of the year with two graduations! One of the fifth generation in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas and one of the second generation in Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca. 80 students received their well-deserved diploma in the presence of their proud family members. The adventure will continue. As of this moment, the 80 graduates are part of the alumni program that is offered in both states and counts 240 alumni in 2025. We congratulate our students for this achievement and their dedicated participation in the basic program. At Mundo de Talentos our students learn in a playful way through the creative activities that are implemented by our guest teachers and educative coordinators. With the lovely material that Grupo Fila Dixon donates to our branches in Chiapas and Oaxaca since three years, our students are able to explore their creativity. During the modules, paintings are drawn, scale models are made and logos are designed. How much do we know ourselves? Do we really know each other? Do we take time to think about how we take care of ourselves? Who do we talk to about these issues? The module "Know yourself" helped our first year students in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, to reflect on the importance of knowing themselves and recognizing their position within their family and society. Thanks to the excellent participation of Hogar Comunitario Yach'il Antzetic A.C. and Voces Mesoamericanas, students worked on the strengthening of their self-esteem. The students, and their parents that participated during the closing session, experienced how important it is to talk about the physical and mental changes that occur throughout life, of the importance of recognizing emotions and being able to name them, to show empathy towards others and above all towards oneself. Proud students, parents and Mundo de Talentos team members gathered last Saturday during the opening of the exhibition ‘Tú haces el mundo más bonito’ in the Children’s Museum Oaxaca (MIO). 30 students of the second year were able to see and enjoy their large-format images with their personal creative texts that were composed during the module “Promote Yourself’, in February 2024. Seeing the results moved the invitees, as big smiles and tears were visible on their faces. This module was implemented in collaboration with the Dutch foundation Stichting Reclame Maken Voor Jezelf who connects girls and boys with their dreams and values. In this way, young people learn to reflect on themselves, their goals in life and on society. Many thanks to Royal Talens Foundation for making all the prints possible and to MIO for offering us this beautiful location to exhibit. The exhibition will be visible until December 14, graduation day of this wonderful group of students of Mundo de Talentos in Oaxaca. We look forward to exposing in other places in Mexico! We are excited and proud! This Saturday, November 23, we celebrate the opening of the exhibition ‘Tú haces el mundo más bonito’ at the Children’s Museum Oaxaca (MIO) in Oaxaca City. You are invited! The expo portrays 30 girls and boys from Mundo de Talentos that participated in the module “Promote Yourself’, in February 2024. Wonderful encounters took place with poets, writers and psychologists who guided the students in the process of writing creative texts and speaking in public. This module was implemented in collaboration with the Dutch foundation Stichting Reclame Maken Voor Jezelf who connects girls and boys with their dreams and values.
