🚀 What an incredible week at #StartupWeekMalaysia Yesterday, 1337 Ventures delivered not one but TWO impactful sessions, led by our CEO & Founding Partner, Bikesh Lakhmichand. Here’s what went down: 💡 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽: 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟬𝟭 It was a full house as Bikesh shared the secrets to crafting a winning pitch deck. Attended 1337 Ventures sharing on how to create investor-ready pitch deck by Bikesh Lakhmichand Shannon Chow and here are my cookie crumbs: 🍪 idea validation: validate your ideas and ensure that there’s a product that satisfies a strong market demand 🍪 who are your teammates: good teams can make crappy ideas work but no good idea can survive a crappy team 🍪 instead of aiming for industry disturption, try to get the second/last move advantage 🍪 VCs would be looking at ROIs that has at least 10x potential 🍪 model: 1000 users giving $100K > 10M users giving $10 🍪 aim for organic GTM strategy and test with your early adopters (ads? 🥵) Fruitful lunch session after that for an unintentional free 1-on-1 consultation on Syuenart! 😝 hahah thanks guys!

Meet the 4 teams in the Digital Penang and 1337 Ventures Hardtech programme that concluded their demo day with the Malaysian Business Angel Network (MBAN) BitRanger: A Malaysian cybersecurity firm that offers advanced solutions to protect businesses from digital threats. Their flagship product, OwlSight, is an outsourced Security Operations Center (SOC) that provides 24/7 monitoring and incident response services. By deploying a hardware device within a client's network, OwlSight monitors all incoming and outgoing communications, identifying anomalies and cyber threats in real-time. Zero Technologies: A pair of Full HD, wireless AR glasses with interchangeable front that are designed with ergonomics in mind. Wysetime: Specializing in video analytics and artificial intelligence solutions, their flagship products include WyseTraffic, a platform that analyzes vehicle and pedestrian behaviors to enhance traffic safety and design, and WyseSafety, which monitors workplace safety by overseeing PPE compliance and access control. Nexada: Their flagship product, the Nexada IoT Hub, streamlines data collection, monitoring, and analysis by integrating seamlessly with various sensors and devices, offering features such as real-time visualization, role-based access control, and automated event alerting. The platform eliminates reliance on proprietary ecosystems, allowing users to integrate third-party devices without programming knowledge, thereby accelerating deployment timelines and reducing costs.
