The Malaysian Bar hosted a lunch meeting with law faculty deans from the International Islamic University Malaysia ("IIUM"), Multimedia University ("MMU"), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia ("UKM"), Universiti Malaya ("UM"), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia ("USIM"), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin ("UniSZA") and Universiti Utara Malaysia ("UUM") on 16 Jan 2025. The discussions focused on addressing challenges in legal education, enhancing the pupillage experience and fostering stronger collaboration between law faculties and the Bar.

On 10 Jan 2025, the Bar Council Conveyancing Practice Committee organised a workshop titled "Workshop on Proper Completion and Execution of Specific Forms under the National Land Code (Act 828)" at the Raja Aziz Addruse Auditorium, Wisma Badan Peguam Malaysia. The workshop featured insightful sessions by experienced speakers, practical guidance on key forms under the National Land Code, and engaging discussions with representatives from land offices. This initiative is a key component of the Committee's goal to continuously organise and arrange training and seminars for the ongoing professional development of Members of the Bar.

The Bar Council National Young Lawyers and Pupils Committee (“NYLPC”) organised the NYLPC Soirée (Lecture and Dinner) on 3 Jan 2025 at the Royal Lake Club, Kuala Lumpur. The event provided young lawyers and pupils in chambers with opportunities for professional and ethical development and facilitated engagement with members of the Judiciary and senior Members of the Bar. The lecture, titled “The Honest Advocate: Cultivating Integrity in Early Legal Careers”, was delivered by YA Dato’ Nordin Hassan, a Federal Court Judge. The Chief Judge of Malaya, YAA Dato’ Sri Hasnah Dato’ Mohammed Hashim, also attended the event. A total of 15 judges from the Federal Court, Court of Appeal, and High Court were present, along with the Office Bearers of the Malaysian Bar, Bar Council Members, and Past Chairpersons of NYLPC, who supported the event as mentors.
