In a world where every child's learning journey is unique, the challenge of supporting neurodivergent children remains a pressing concern. Sejolly stands at the forefront of this challenge, harnessing the power of technology to empower educators and parents alike. With Rootin, Malaysia's first autism digital support tool, Sejolly is bridging the crucial gap between early intervention organisations or therapists and parents. This innovative platform offers practical features like bite-sized video models, session scheduling, and a child's journal, all designed to reinforce therapy at home. Since inception, Sejolly has seen the positive impact Rootin has had on the lives of more than 300 families. As a proud member of SEEd.Lab'ssecond cohort, Sejolly is dedicated to creating a world where every neurodivergent child has access to the tools and support necessary to thrive. From being the visionary to the strategist, the marketer to the problem-solver, it's no surprise that exhaustion and burnout can creep in. Social entrepreneurs, especially, juggle the dual mission of business sustainability and societal betterment. The weight of this responsibility can be heavy. Here's the truth: Burnout can be inevitable, sometimes sneaking up on us without warning. But at SEEd.Lab, we try our absolute best to be proactive in tackling stress head-on! That's why the SEEd.Lab team comes together every month for themed potlucks and game sessions! 🎉 From beach-themed potlucks to old school game-offs, we're always finding new ways to unwind and connect. And there's more excitement on the way! Just a while ago, we had an amazing session with Discover Muay Thai, where we learned new skills, broke a sweat, and bonded as a team. 🥊 These gatherings are not just about fun (although there's plenty of that!). Leveraging Agile Methodology in Social Enterprise. Our changemakers, or as we fondly call them, SEEd.Lings, are now embracing Agile practices in their journey to make a change! If you are looking for a way to improve your social enterprise’s efficiency and productivity, try out adopting Agile Methodology! Agile methodology is a flexible and collaborative approach to project management that emphasises continuous improvement and customer (beneficiaries) satisfaction. By breaking down projects into smaller, manageable tasks, Agile allows teams to work more efficiently and adapt to changing circumstances. To ensure deliverables, a Scrum Event (review session) is held at the end of Sprint (Timeboxed session aimed to maintain team focus). For social enterprises, Agile is particularly useful because it allows you to Respond quickly to the any kind of changes to the needs from beneficiaries and stakeholders. I am different but not less - Temple Grandin Last week, #seedlab hosted a remarkable young individual, Aisya, a Paralympic swimmer. Aisya is a cancer survivor who lost her eyesight at the age of 5. Despite being visually impaired, she became an international swimmer and achieved four gold medals in her first World Para Finswimming Championship in Italy last year. With her mother as her constant cheerleader, she is able to defy all odds!
