At Touch ‘n Go, the Festival of Lights shone brightly as we came together to celebrate Deepavali in style! The event was a wonderful opportunity for us to embrace the spirit of unity and diversity that defines our culture.   The celebration began with a warm welcome by Erlny Greiss, our Chief Human Resources Officer setting the tone for an afternoon filled with joy and festivity. A delightful feast, accompanied by the lively sounds of Deepavali music, brought everyone together to share in the celebration.   To make the occasion even more meaningful, our employees participated in an engaging online quiz that enriched our understanding of Deepavali’s traditions and significance. We also had a free henna art booth where many of our colleagues enjoyed the intricate and beautiful designs, adding a creative flair to the day. The highlight of the event? Our best-dressed contest! Many employees came dressed in stunning traditional attire, making the competition an exciting and colourful affair.   This celebration was more than just a festive occasion – it was a meaningful moment for our team to come together, strengthen bonds, and embrace a sense of belonging. Touch ‘n Go Group recently took part in the Banking in the Digital Era Forum at Sunway University, where TNG Digital Chief Financial Services Officer, Desmond Teoh, joined an esteemed panel of banking industry experts. In June 2024, Touch ‘n Go launched its first school adoption programme, in collaboration with PINTAR Foundation, adopting SMK Seri Selayang for 3 years as part of its community outreach initiative. The school adoption programme is designed to complement traditional classroom learning, with strong emphasis on developing essential life skills. To start off the first year, a dynamic financial literacy programme and an engaging entrepreneurship bootcamp were planned, designed to make learning fun and exciting, and encourage the students to remain enthusiastic about school.   The Youth Entrepreneurship Bootcamp comprised four action-packed modules tailored to inspire and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset while enhancing the students’ critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. 75 eager Form 3 and 4 students participated in the bootcamp, which started on 4 September and concluded on 2 October, where they learned innovative thinking techniques such as “thinking outside the box”, and “delivering an elevator pitch” by suggesting alternative uses for a common item. They also explored the fundamentals of business, including understanding their products, assessing potential risks and identifying target customers.   Putting their learning into practice, seven students were selected to take part in Hari Koperasi, a school-based sales event held on 12 October, in conjunction with Hari Sukan Negara. With business capital provided, these young entrepreneurs demonstrated their skills by selecting unique products that set them apart from other booths, selling ‘ais kepal’ and ‘ais krim Malaysia’ which was a hit with their peers. Their efforts paid off, earning them a gross profit of RM326. This hands-on experience provided an invaluable glimpse into real-world business operations, allowing the students to put their lessons into practice.   Up next will be an exciting pitching session where the students will team up and compete against each other, presenting their business ideas to a panel of judges at the end of the year. This final stage will not only test their entrepreneurial skills but also challenge them to demonstrate teamwork and creativity. We hope that through these exciting experiences, the students will be inspired to take charge of their future and apply their newfound skills to make informed choices.      

What a night to remember! The Touch ‘n Go Golden Soiree Annual Dinner was a true celebration of togetherness, filled with electric energy as colleagues arrived dressed to impress. The evening featured delicious food, captivating live performances, and an incredible guest appearance by the iconic Ning Baizura. The excitement reached new heights as we celebrated the remarkable achievements and sportsmanship of our team members at the OLEAPICS, with House Love proudly taking home the 2024 House Championship. A huge shout-out to every Touch ‘n Go employee for your dedication, team spirit, and enthusiastic participation throughout the OLEAPICS Games, Fun Run, and the Annual Dinner. Special thanks to our captains, vice-captains, and the organising team for their hard work and meticulous planning.
