  • UEM Edgenta Healthcare Solutions and Kloth Cares team up to drive sustainable change through fabric recycling. UEM Edgenta Healthcare Solutions recently concluded its 2024 Fabric Recycling Bin Campaign in collaboration with Kloth Cares, Southeast Asia’s first textile recycling movement. This impactful initiative united #EdgentaStars from Menara UEM and 11 participating sites, including Hospital Jitra, Hospital Seberang Jaya, Hospital Tuanku Fauziah, ROKPP, Hospital Baling, HTEC, Hospital Kuala Kangsar, HRPB, Hospital Kampar, Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta, and ROPRK. The campaign successfully collected a variety of fabric-based items, including clothing, accessories, household textiles, children’s toys, and fabric remnants longer than 1 meter. Altogether, 712 kg of textile waste was diverted from landfills—equivalent to 4,270 T-shirts or 28 medium-sized suitcases of textiles. This remarkable effort also prevented the release of 1,591 kg of CO2-e greenhouse gases, which is comparable to avoiding 46 days of average GHG emissions by a Malaysian. This initiative underscores UEM Edgenta Healthcare Solutions’ unwavering commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. As we continue working to reduce our environmental footprint, we encourage all #EdgentaStars to join in supporting these meaningful efforts. Small, thoughtful actions—such as recycling, conserving resources, and reducing pollution—can collectively make a significant difference. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this campaign. Let’s keep driving change, one step at a time!
